Parrots Naturally opened in 1997 in Tarzana California to showcase the parrots raised at Live Oak Aviary, the owner’s breeding facility. The goal was to share ideas about raising and maintaining parrots in a natural, healthful and enriched environment. The owners, Judy and Bill Lantz, in addition to their dedication to the rapidly disappearing and endangered parrots of the world have another life

as Clinical Laboratory Scientists. As trained scientist, they bring a unique perspective to the Avian world. Among the parrots residing at Parrots Naturally are Blue Throated Macaws and the Red Fronted Macaws. Both are native to Bolivia where conservation efforts are currently trying to protect a dwindling population of less that 300 Blue Throated Macaws and fewer than 1,000 Red Fronted Macaws. We invite you to share in this effort by joining the Parrots Naturally family. If you are privileged to live with a parrot, you have an obligation to become involved in protecting the few remaining in the wild. Seed-free pellet mixes, New Millennium sprouts and several healthy instant foods are available here and through the online store, parrotxpress.com. For locals, fresh, layered salads are made on Tuesdays and Fridays. Bird muffins and breads are always in the freezer. The toy walls are a joy to behold. More than 20 manufacturers are represented including Jungle Toys, one of the best local , made in the USA products. Look for Funmax, Petscape, Starbird, Superbird and many other safe and challenging toys. Kings cages have been featured for the past 20 years. The full line of Original, Economy , Stainless steel and the latest aluminum cages are kept in stock.
