Farralone Farms is a certified 501C 3 (Established in 2010) horse rescue organization located in Chatsworth, CA in the San Fernando Valley right off the 118 freeway. We rescue horses, mini's, donkeys and mules from horse and live stock auctions in Southern California.. We always have at least a handful of ex race horses in the barn. Ex racers that are 100% sound and healthy also end up at the mea

t auctions days after their last race straight off the track and others are found in their teens or older at various end of the line auctions. We rescue all breeds and our barn is home to a colorful variety of breeds of all ages but the Thoroughbred is our main focus and expertise.. Immediately after rescue we assess our new horses to figure out their rehabilitation plan. Many need a month or two to just relax and eat plenty food. We have their teeth floated, feet trimmed, worming and vaccinations taken care of. We do gelding surgeries if a stallion and take care of any health issues. We have many wonderful riding and companion horses available for adoption at any time. Some horses have exciting new careers and lives ahead of them in the show ring or on the trails. Others can not be ridden and will make fantastic companion horses and family pets. Divison of Los Angeles Pet Rescue

Nonprofit horse and guinea pig rescue is looking to hire a part time all-round ranch hand.
Duties include
Cleaning of all animal habitats including but not limited to horse stalls, pig pens, chicken coops and guinea pig cages
General ranch duties, cleaning of all ranch areas, food prep and feeding of all animals.
Setting up for adoption days and events, interacting with the public.

Must have a love for all animals and a gentle hand, able to take direction well, friendly and people oriented. Hard worker, follow tasks through to the end, meticulous and detailed worker. Problem solver.
Candidate must be legal to work in the USA, have a driver’s license and transportation.

This is a part time job – 4 hours in the mornings 7am – 11am for 6 days a week
