The Gold Sailfin Molly is a popular and hardy freshwater fish with a beautiful golden hue and an impressive, large dorsal fin. Known for its active behavior and peaceful nature, it’s an excellent choice for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. Sailfin Mollies enjoy being in groups of 4–6. Keeping a ratio of 1 male to 2–3 females is recommended to minimize aggression among males. They are livebearers, meaning they give birth to free-swimming fry. If breeding is desired, a separate breeding tank or dense plant cover will help protect the fry.
