Local Fish Store in Pacoima!

Hole in the Wall Fish is a small local Fish Store in the San Fernando Valley, located in Pacoima California. Carrying freshwater & saltwater fish, filters, chemicals, saltwater mix. r.o.d.i water, aquariums, lights and elite products for our local community. We currently open 6 days a week, and are closed on Sunday’s.

We started our store as “an experiment” that quickly became a locals favorite, it was a project from a project that left a couple of extra bucks in our pockets. With our original store sized about 400 square feet (this was the inspiration for our name), a corner desk temporarily used as a register and a “square phone Magstripe reader” to process credit cards, we “were ready for business.”

After one long year of building this small facility, learning the ins-and-outs of the business, finding out what was popular, and what was not, but most importantly knowing the best products the industry has to offer. This perhaps has and will always be our store’s #1 priority. Selling products we have used ourselves, in simple terms tried and true’d by real people like us. We will never sell anyone a product that we have never tried, most of the products/chemicals we have used or use in our own facility. This means that we know what we are talking about when we talk about it. (Above is our first window decal of our store, I was super pumped when this was originally made)

It has now been over 3 years+ since we first started “Hole in the Wall Fish”, so many long days and nights. Learning from past mistakes, errors and trials, has truly made me want to better myself as a person. Getting a new location, about 3 times the amount of my old place has given me many great ideas to make this little store have life in a full effect. Remodeling and renewing from wood holding systems to metal holding racks and moving the store in 500+ ways had some people going bananas!!! Haha! We have now finished the final stage of our store and we are ready to launch our Youtube Channel & Online Store in 2020! With our logo ready to be marketed, and many ideas in mind, and energy we look forward to the future of this company.

It is now November 30th, 2 days after thanksgiving, and here i am writing a bio about the store. Words can't express how blessed I am to have and run a store and have a job I enjoy and love from day to day. I have learned so much from this personal experience as a store owner, I have realized how true it becomes when they say “haters will hate”, the slander and comments i get from social media and yelp reviews makes you realize how cold this world really is when someone is trying to come up. But responding with the same outlook will NEVER make a situation better, I have been taught by my Pastor to respond as the bible teaches me to respond: Proverbs 25:21 - IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, GIVE HIM BREAD TO EAT; AND IF HE BE THIRSTY, GIVE HIM WATER TO DRINK. This little shop was never a plan in my life, yet here we are.

I can say that it has been an amazing journey, i have made so many great friends, and met some great people along the way. Being a full-time dad, and being a newlywed, and a youth pastor has made me value life more from a time perspective. Life is NEVER easy and dreams are NEVER impossible, but it becomes EASY when you become obedient to follow your heart and mind. It is never about what you obtain, but how you look at what you obtain. Having the right mindset can change the course of many things in life, for us, this was just a 1 year experiment, that has turned into a full time project. If you're reading this, no matter where you are in life, as long as you are alive it is never late to do anything & nothing is impossible. Matthew 19:26.
