Meet Canelo. This boy is silly, sweet, and so affectionate. He is easy going, yet playful, loves treats, and knows his sit command. Canelo lives in the third crate on the left as you walk into the office. He’s quiet and easy to over look because of his calm demeanor. Meet our super sweet girl Ellie. Sadly she was hit by a car and had a fractured front leg when she arrived, she was casted and now it has healed. Ellie is an easy going, tail wagging, happy girl who loves everyone she meets. This lovebug will gladly smother you with kisses. Ellie knows her sit and shake commands. She truly is special and we can’t say enough nice things about her. She is so eager to please, dog friendly and a joy to be around.

Although Ellie is dog friendly, she is food aggressive around other dogs. Please share our wonderful girl. Ellie is ready for her new life to begin!

The shelter is a stressful place for dogs. When volunteers take the dogs out of their kennels it is really nice to be able to give a dog a real meat treat! The dogs really love them. We are out and could use more donations of real meat dog treats. You can buy on Amazon or Chewy.com and have them delivered directly to Harbor Shelter. True Chews and Nudges are the dog favorites! The volunteers would really appreciate these donations and so will the dogs :)

Hello! My name is LOBO! Nice to meet you. I am a 10 year old, blue-eyed, husky Gent. I am a bit shy but once I get to know you, I love butt scratches & neck rubs! The volunteers bring me chicken treats and I take them gently. I’m kind of stout and have some old-man arthritis but enjoy leisurely walks. I recently had a mini-spa day! It was wonderful and relaxing. It took (3) lathers to get me clean! … oh, my. I am soooo soft and feel like a new dog! I am the oldest of 30 huskies currently at Harbor Shelter and kenneled with a young husky. I was a gift to my family as a young pup. My family could no longer care for me so I was sent to Harbor Shelter. Initially I was scared and confused but now getting out & about and making new friends. They say I am blossoming! I hope and pray for a warm & cozy furever home soon!
