This hotel has been one of the strangest hotels I have ever been in. It is located in Targu Mures. One of the ladies on the trip said the decor was prison IKEA. She wasn't far off. It was very stark they tried to be very modern. It just turned out to be totally inconvenient. And their shower placement was insane

Yes the shower was placed in the middle of this room. It was not our room. But we all had a to have a picture taken in it.

10/19/24 The Prejmer fortified church is a Lutheran fortified church. It was Catholic but became Lutheran following the Reformation. The church forms part of the villages with fortified churches in Transylvania UNESCO World Heritage Site.

10/16/24 Romania. The Teleki Library has to be one of my favorite places that we have visited so far. It houses an encyclopaedic and scientific collection of books - over 200,000 volumes, many of which are quite rare.

10/16/24 Romania. The Palace of Culture houses the Mureș County Library, the Mureș County Museum, and the State Philharmonic of Târgu Mureș. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Monuments.

Alba Iulua is a star shaped fortress and a pretty impressive drawbridge. Limited good choices for vegetarians but I made do with flaming hot Doritos and gelato.

Some of us climbed up the hill to the Cisnadioara Fortress known as the oldest monument built by the Romanesque architectural style around the region of Transylvania.

On the way to Sibiu we stopped at the Cozia Monastery. The architecture is definitely different than the rest of Europe. I have no idea what that weird white statue is. It's a cool town. At the dinner tonight the waiter at first called me veggie lady and then started calling me spicy lady because I took out my own Sriracha to add to my dinner. Apparently I'm having an affair with the waiters

Bucharest. Great group of people. Yes, that's Burger King. We didn't have much time for lunch. LOL. AND that is the look on our waiter's when I asked for the chicken salad without the chicken. He thought I was crazy. And last but not least - donuts with Nutella and blueberries. . 🇷🇴
