Several elements, such as the level of humidity 🌧️, the temperature 🌡️, and the physical condition of your dog 🐕, can impact their capacity to 🆒 down. Treating your pet with this refreshing snack 🥒 is an easy way to help boost their fluid 💦 intake, as cucumbers contain a whopping 95% ✨ water content! If it’s a challenge finding spray-free (or 🌱organic) cucumbers, be sure to wash them under cold water.

Friendly Tip: The best way to feed this hydrating treat is raw. Washing 🧼 the skin of cucumbers 🥒 with a 2% salt water 🧂💧 mixture can help eliminate 75% to 80% of pesticide residue! 😁

Fun fact: Cucumbers are a fruit❣️

Someone took this picture at the vets office…
About time Veterinarians are acknowledging Purina's Beneful is bad and harmful to your dog.
They should also write:
It may cause cancer, cardiac problems, strokes, blood pressure abnormalities, thyroid, renal failure, hepatic failure, and more!
Glad to see this in a Vets office as they are taking note (finally)!

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the U.S. die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

This Memorial Day weekend, please pause to honor and remember those who gave their lives for their country. This includes U.S. military dogs, who have been selflessly serving since World War II. In this photo, Staff Sgt. Thomas Sager carries the body of Dinomt (pronounced "dynomite"), a 90-pound German shepherd killed by an IED while on patrol in Kandahar. "He somehow took most of the blast, saving my life," his handler, Petty Officer 2nd Class Leroy Williams, said in an article a couple of months after Dinomt died http://bit.ly/1grn1qV. "I am eternally grateful. … There has not been a night go by yet that I don't miss him and even cry for him."

Smart idea! 🐇

Do you check your yard for rabbit nests before mowing? Protecting the nest with a laundry basket is an easy way to make sure they don’t accidentally get mowed over, while also offering extra safety from predators. 🤍🐰🤍

Remember, pet rabbits are a 10-15 year commitment.

Easter is closing in folks so here's the yearly PSA - Do not buy rabbits as Easter presents! 🐰🚫

Every year we are bombarded by an influx of surrender requests and abandoned rabbit reports in the months following Easter. Parents continue to buy their children bunnies as "starter pets" to celebrate the holiday... then dispose of them when their kids lose interest.

Before you get a rabbit, know this. We do not have the room to take in ANY surrenders. We cannot possibly rescue every abandoned rabbit. You are committing to caring for this rabbit for it's entire life... or you may be committing to their untimely death.

So kindly stick to chocolate this year (vegan chocolate is our choice, like the rabbits!). 🤎 🌿
