Here are some good ideas from small batch!

Looking for ways to thaw out your frozen raw or lightly cooked pet food? Here are some easy and safe methods to do so without using a MICROWAVE 🙀🚫⚡️

In the Fridge Overnight:
— This is the best and safest way to do so, you can defrost 2-3 days worth at a time this way. Simply place your frozen portioned out food in the fridge and allow it to thaw slowly overnight. This method while slower ensures that the food remains at a consistent, safe temperature.

Brief Warm Water Bath:
— Seal the frozen food in a leak-proof plastic bag and immerse it in a bowl of warm water for a brief period. Change the water every so often to keep it warm and speed up the thawing process. Alternatively, place your food in a stainless steel bowl and let it float over warm water, this works best when food is somewhat thawed out.

Adding Warm Water or Bone Broth:
— For already slightly defrosted food, add warm water or warm bone broth, mix well, to take out the chill. This method helps bring the food to a more palatable temperature.

Don’t zap your food with unnecessary microwave heat or other high heat that can destroy nutrients. Try these more gentle and safe methods instead😉
