Kittens born outside suffer. A very high percentage die, often miserable deaths. Please, spay and neuter.

THIS is why we do what we do. These babies were born in a barn. Two of their littermates have already passed. One of them passed before we got to them. The other one passed in the middle of the night last night. His name was Bug, a whole whopping 8 ounces. Bug more than likely died from severe anemia from a flea infestation. Even though we spent hours raising his blood sugar and removing fleas, it just wasn’t enough.

Rockin Community Cats is actively TNR’ing the colony these babies came from.

Well, while I was out, look what I caught in Madisonville! Shout out to Sherri Murphy, who helped me find the location, and Lynn Wray Nutter for posting. I only saw about 6, but I am told there are more.

This baby is safe at the kitty house. Once settled, I'll determine s*x and set up an appointment.

Zach is a big LOVE bug and adores cooling off in the pool. He seems to want to hold it and wait til he goes outside to pee/poop. Soooooo, we're thinking he might already be housebroken or close to it!

Zach has gotten along great with other dogs and is a playful, higher energy dude! A house with older kids who will play the day away with him would make this guy's day! Zach is not a cat guy. And you know what? That's okay!! We told him not everyone likes cats!

🐾The adoption fee for these 6 dogs has been WAIVED! All adopters will receive 1 free training session with our friends at PawsitivelyK9. We STRONGLY encourage adopters to take advantage of this amazing opportunity!

📅We will have staff and volunteers on site this SATURDAY, 10am-3pm; and SUNDAY, 12-3pm. All other adoptions will be by appointment only.

Any negative comments will be removed. The staff and volunteers of MRHS work very hard in cooperation with the City of Athens Animal Shelter staff. We need ADOPTERS!! We need pet owners to spay and neuter their animals. We need pet owners to microchip and reclaim their animals.

Hank may not sing you a song, but he sure is oh so handsome! This young fella loves to play with other dogs, does well with kids we are told, and is terrified of cats!

Hank seems to a be mostly house trained and holds his ti**le til he gets a chance to go out! He walks well on a leash for a pup his age. And he LOVES toys! Won't you give this handsome young dude a chance?!
