Bowood Barn: Virginia’s Most Enchantingly Magical Wedding Venue


The imagination is the only limit. Barn weddings are a unique experience, especially how Bowood folds every comfort feature into the rustic outdoor barn venue. Bowood can be as rustic or elegantly over the top as you want. Noteworthy is our flooring: the tongue and groove Douglas Fir floor, intended for horse drawn carriage storage,

makes for a wonderful floor worthy of the prettiest stilettos or flat leather dance slippers. We have plenty of gravel walkways to minimize dirt and mud should rain be an issue. A grassy courtyard with a canopy of string lights off the gable end of the barn is also a popular feature for evening gatherings. Whether it’s the Rehearsal Dinner, an evening wedding, or perhaps it was the proposal dinner ride that set all the events into action! More soft luxurious grass to set up corn hole, marquees, etc. surrounds the courtyard. Electricity is available with lots of outlets throughout the barn, inside and out. Plenty of parking is located close to the barn. Staff is always on site to assist with questions and the entire weekend is dedicated to just one event. There is no pressure to set up and clean up. We also hope you will take advantage of our working farm. The animals are usually kept in pastures away from the barn to minimize insects and odors. However, if you schedule a photo shoot prior to the event, they may be included in the shots by the barn if you wish. Vacuuming up the barn floor after an event is always bitter sweet as it brings back the memories of the joyous celebration and yet I know it’s likely I won’t see most of the wonderful people that I had the pleasure to meet.🎉 Saturday evenings LCHS Prom was just amazing and I just can’t stand having to vacuum every exquisite variety of sparkling sequin. The young adults impress me so and I am proud of our graduating class of 2023 🤩 Y’all are amazing 🙌 All the very best to every one of you 💯

Bowood Barn: Central Virginia’s Full Weekend Wedding Venue Barn weddings can be a unique experience. All barns are different in style, mood, and character. However, Bowood can be as rustic or as traditionally styled to cast any decorated genre you want. Whether it’s muted earth tones or country burlap to flashy poppies and yellow roses! She is the ultimate backdrop to drape your ideas around.
