Class Info:
DEVELOPING A DYNAMIC TROT
Horses and riders will be taught how to manage nervous system responses and physical and balance within the trot. Emphases will be placed on quality of gait. Each horse has a unique ability to perform a trot and a unique range of motion and skill. Ashley's process to build a dynamic trot will work within your horse's natural skill to bring out the very best of their gait. Ashley will go through the cue sets (or aids) that she recommends to build quality and consistency of the trot. Rider balance and strength will also be discussed and trained.
GROUNDWORK:
Whether you are new to groundwork or consider yourself seasoned, this class will offer something for you. Topics will include but are not limited to:
Lunging
Ground Driving
Desensitizing
Ground Tying
Leg Placement
Proprioception
Correcting Head Shy Behavior
Sidepassing
Pivots
Lowering the head
Pole Work
Backing
“Touch”
Figure 8
Rollbacks
and MORE!
PATTERNS CLASS:
If you have been around Ashley’s lesson program very long, you will know that she absolutely LOVES patterns. Ashley is in the process of writing a book of her patterns. Pattens class will be all under saddle. If you are looking for ways to get off the rail and be more creative when stuck in the arena this class is for you! Ashley’s patterns will help to involve your horse’s mind in the process, building balance, proprioception, quality of gait and core strength.
DEVELOPING A CONTROLLED LOPE:
Whether you have confidence issues at the lope, or your horse has balance or strength issues at the lope this class is for you! Join Ashley as she helps you to troubleshoot what is going wrong with you and your horse’s lope. Build confidence, strength and balance during this class and find the success you have been looking for!
