We want to extend a heartfelt shout-out to Dr. Sawyer! Captain Meyer, also known as Dr. Sawyer, graduated as a distinguished military graduate from Army ROTC at Truman State University and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps. She served with the 82nd Airborne Division and was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. During her time in service, she earned her Expert Field Medical Badge and achieved her Jumpmaster certification! Your sacrifices inspire us, and we are grateful for your commitment both in and our of the clinic. 🐾🌟

While some wild mushrooms may seem harmless, many are toxic to pets and can lead to serious illness-or even be fatal. Keep your furry friends safe by steering clear of any mushrooms on walks or in the yard. If you suspect your pet has ingested a mushroom, act fast: contact your vet or pet poison control immediately! ⏳ Remember, early action can make all the difference. Some of the most common clinical signs of mushroom poisoning:

• Drooling
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Weakness/lethargy
• Abnormal heartbeat
• Trouble breathing
• Uncoordinated movements/stumbling
• Disorientation
• Increased drinking and urinating
• Yellow discoloration of gums and eyes
• Tremors/seizures
