The Louisville Kennel Club sadly acknowledges the passing of one of our members Tracy Pancost who joined our club in 2014. During that time she served as both president and treasurer. A long time member of the fancy (she was competing in JS at the age of 😎, Tracy was a force in the Westie community and served time as both the president and AKC delegate for the parent club. We thank Tracy for her decades of dedication to the dog community…you will be missed. We extend our sympathies to her husband Terry and daughter MacKenzie.
From Terry Pancost -
It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the news that my wife, Tracy Pancost has lost her battle with cancer. She passed away last night here in Louisville, while I was by her side. She was 61 years old, but always claimed that she was 29 and holding !
She was a graduate of Kansas State University, and the LSU Graduate School Of Banking. She has been in the banking industry since graduating from K State, and her current position at Truist Bank is Senior VP Credit Risk.
Besides being an awesome and loving mother to MacKenzie, she really loved her Westie dogs. She was involved with and a highly active member of the Louisville Kennel Club, the Delaware Ohio Kennel Club, and the West Highland White Terrier Club Of America. She held multiple positions in these clubs including President of both the Louisville Kennel and West Highland White Terrier Club Of America, as well as the club delegate to the American Kennel Club.
We will have a visitation this Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024 from 1 - 4 pm at Pearson Funeral Home, 149 Breckenridge Lane, Louisville, KY. There will be a short Memorial Service for her right afterwards, there at the Pearson Chapel.
“Before that sudden journey,
no one is wiser in thought than he needs to be,
in considering before his departure what will be adjudged to their soul,
of good or evil after his death day.”
