Meet Taco!!

He is a 12 week old puppy recently adopted from Boulder humane in for his first puppy exam and vaccines!

Why is it important to have your pet vaccinated?

Meet our NEW Assistant Hospital Manager - Rachel!!

Hello!

My name is Rachel and I am thrilled for my future with Louisville Family Animal Hospital. I come from south Denver where I have chased my passion for horses from operating equine facilities to training to working at the equine clinic. I have two horses, Misty and Joker, and two dogs, Sky and Kimber. I live for a challenge and adventure! I look forward to making a great relationships and making a positive impact in this new community!

Featuring another new addition to our Louisville Family Team - please welcome Erin!

Erin is our newest Client Service Representative!

Erin has always had a love for animals, starting with her childhood dogs, two unruly chihuahuas!

She pursued her love for animals and the outdoors by studying marine biology at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi and going on to work in marine science education in Hawaii and the Florida Keys. When she can, she also loves volunteering for wildlife rehabilitation centers, working with birds and sea turtles!

In her free time, she loves to travel to new places with friends, spend time outside, and hang out with her two rescue dogs!

Meet our new Veterinary Assistant - Amy!

Amy is a recent transplant to Colorado in May 2024 from the Florida Keys, she is originally from Kansas City! Amy was a sea lion and dolphin trainer for the last 7 years in the Keys, as well as working part time as an assistant at a veterinary emergency room and assisting with the opening of a dog walking and dog sitting company!

Since moving to Colorado she has filled her days caring for pets! When she is not working she loves to spend time exploring her new state; rock climbing, camping and hiking. She loves travel and concerts. Watching the Chiefs play and listening to Taylor swift while snuggling her two cats at home 🫶🏼

Meet our new doctor! Dr. Sydney Richardson!

Dr. Sydney Richardson grew up in Louisville, Colorado where she lived with her two older sisters and a menagerie of animals including dogs, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and an albino hedgehog. Dr. Richardson attended Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois for her undergraduate studies. During these years she trained service and therapy dogs along with working for 6 weeks in a mixed animal practice in the Australian Outback. Dr. Richardson graduated with major in Biology and Political Science in 2019. She then graduated Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in spring of 2023.

Dr. Richardson worked at a mixed veterinary practice in the Pacific Northwest for a year before getting the chance to return to her hometown of Louisville, CO. She is excited to reconnect with friends and the community through her work as a veterinarian at the Louisville Family Animal Hospital. While most of her current patients are dogs and cats, she also has a love of goats, sheep, alpacas and llamas. Her medical interests include Veterinary Dentistry, Ophthalmology and Anesthesiology.

During her free time Dr. Richardson enjoys working out at the Louisville Recreation Center, running, biking, skiing (water and downhill), hiking, and adventures with her 5-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd, Jennie.
