She’s been here a whole week already! I’ve had a few people check in to make sure everything went ok, and it did! Baby Alex is growing and eating well, I’m healing (slowly), Aurora is being a wonderful big sister, and Whitney is a super hero making sure all of us are taken care of 💜

This will probably be the last update while I’m pregnant, as the C-Section is Monday 😱
But the newest chicks are doing well, the buns are hanging out, the quail love their floor pen-though we will have to modify the design. And Tatiana is doing great, Aurora is head over heels for her and wants to take her everywhere 🥰

I’ve got a few photo updates before we go into our preparation week for little sweetie to get here!
The mulberries are ripening and Aurora (and Hera in the back) were helping to get them into the bucket! They all got eaten fresh so I didn’t have any to preserve 😂🤤
We also got a few more blueberries off the bushes in the front yard. I don’t like blueberries, but I have to say…fresh off the bushes they are pretty good! 👍🏻
Aurora gets to pick out her outfit and she was rocking her dress to take Avalon to the vet for her annual check up! Avalon cleared all healthy and Aurora practiced walking Avalon on leash while we were at the vet 😂
We have one puppy left in the house, (besides Tatiana, who is staying with us) and he goes home tomorrow. Aurora has LOOOVVEED playing with the puppies and they live playing with her too 🥰
And now she has started to show her ‘babies’ (currently a Grinch dog toy and her stuffed unicorn) around. I got a great shot of her showing them the “fishies swimming in the sea” 💜
She’s going to be an amazing big sister 🥰

We had a single chicky hatch (random collection, didn’t have high hopes for hatching) so Whitney picked up some Buff Orpingtons to keep them company 🥰
Aurora showed the pups her stuffed unicorn and was telling them how adorable they are 💜
Aurora has been helping get the food ready for the dogs and it is adorable. Plus it’s actually truly helpful for her to bend down to put the bowls down since my belly is so big 😂

The driveway patch is looking so wonderful 🥰
The blueberries are ripening. The bee balm, yarrow, creeping thyme, and dianthus are blooming, and I got it weeded to let the plants all breathe better 💪🏻

Outdoor puppy play today! Socializing with the kitties, the kiddo, and a couple guests (not pictured). Good and lovely day 💜💜

Had a lovely morning! Had the available 4 boys out for a FaceTime meet and greet and Aurora was having a blast! She picked up all the puppy toys and walked them over to the pups telling them she “had a surprise “ for them 💜 and then of course she had to play in the water with them 😂 if there is water around, Aurora will be in it!
Then she helped Momma spread so straw in the rabbit barn, prepped the chicks for integration to the coop, and caught a ride back from the coop on the summer toboggans (wagon) 🤣
Radish (black and white doe) and crew are looking good and I think Radish will be able to move away from the kits soon!
Plus the lobelia is blooming gorgeous as is the dahlia 😍

Puppies got some outside time today. They weren’t sure about the grass but warmed up. And a few even decided I was the perfect pillow 🥰
We do still have 5 boys looking for homes, these littles are 5 weeks old today. Message me if you’re interested in one of our littles

Aurora loves hanging with the puppies 🥰 they play so well with her, though they are definitely due for their first nail trim!
And Aurora loved getting to pet one of the littler kits 💜

First feeding yesterday went well! Took about 3 seconds (and a couple footsteps) to figure out it was edible 😂
Then this morning, Aurora had her usual love on the puppies and say good morning 💜 she’s so sweet with the babies and is so careful and gentle with them (we’ve worked hard on it!)
Aurora was a helping hand in the garden today. She was disappointed we didn’t need to use the hose, but was excited to spray the homemade aphid spray on the tomatoes.
Our small tomato bed is looking good, the geraniums are blooming with such color, and one of the scrawny plants is starting to pick up speed and is the tallest tomato now 🍅
After garden time, which gave the doggos plenty of time to potty, it was breakfast time and got all the goodies added in 💜 and the puppies stacked on top of each other to get a milky snack 😂

Aurora loves these little puppies so much and when she got in with them she told me she wanted to “Play with the 10 puppies” and that she was a puppy too 🥰
She started outside the pen, after coaxing, because she’s only allowed in with them when I can supervise. When I was doing dishes on the other side of the counter I let her go ahead and give the puppies the snuggles she was dying to 💜
Also, today will be their first puppy food! Their food is soaking in water to make it easier for their little teeth to mash up. As they wean off of momma, we’ll put less water in and by the time they go home, they’ll be on dry puppy kibble
