Here we are again. This time Sam (Carly's sister) I was suspicious this morning her BG was low. She was not as rambunctious as she usually is. And it is.... 55 😐

When you rescue senior ferrets you find yourself at the vet a lot.
Carly was walking in circles caused by low Blood Sugar. She is now being treated for Insulinoma. She also got her second implant. Carly has somewhere along the way lost her sight.
Shyren went in for X Rays. She seemed a little off in the backend. Luckily it's just a bit of muscle loss due to her being an aging girl.

I had to say goodbye to Odie today. He was one of the sweetest, gentlest boys you could ever meet. He first started showing signs of illness in April. An xray/Ultra sound showed nodules on his liver. He had been responding well to medication up to a couple days ago. I had hoped some fluids and additional meds would turn him around. Adenocarcinoma was showing its ugly face. Odie wasnt feeling good and he wasn't going to get well. He was ready to make that journey and be with his friends that went before him. I wish he could have stayed longer. But I couldn't be selfish and let him suffer. I love him to much. My heart is broken but I know he is well and happy in heaven and I am blessed to have been his mom.

Ray fought the good fight for three years. Today he stopped fighting and crossed that bridge to freedom. He is now with his buddy Chevy and free from all sickness. Until we meet again sweet boy, I love you and miss you.

Chevy made his journey across the rainbow bridge this morning. He had been fighting many battles for a long time. He had been treated (implants) for adrenal, for insulinoma, and on top of that, heart disease the last 2 1/2 years. I had no idea last night that we would be saying goodbye this morning. He was so sweet and so good. He was such a beautiful big boy. 💔

Shyren had her implant last week and today she is having a dental. Shyren has been here since 2019. She has a nasty little habit of using her teeth. After her dental today I believe she will have a few less to use on us. I hope she behaves herself and doesn't bite any of the wonderful staff at Animal Hospital. I left them some gloves just in case she is in a mood 😄

I have not done a great job posting. The last year has been very busy helping to take care of my parents. In addition I have took in quite a few senior ferrets that have multiple health issues.
Today's vet trip I took a very sweet boy. He is 6 this year. He is squatting and straining but only poops a dot. A radiograph showed constipation. Ultra sound revealed abdominal lymph nodes, adrenal mass, nodules in his liver & on a positive note, a normal bladder. He has started treatment and will be rechecked in 2 weeks. He is a beautiful boy. Looks perfectly healthy. It's a little concerning what the x-rays and Ultra sound showed. Please send some prayers Odie's way.
