Friends of Metro Animal Services (FOMAS) is the non-profit 501(c)(3) fundraising entity for Louisville Metro Animal Services. FOMAS works hard to provide additional dollars for Louisville Metro Animal Services. Those funds make it possible for the shelter to go above and beyond, and offer services that exceed what LMAS' government budget allows. Donate today!

It's Summer, the perfect time to Treat Yo' Self (and the dogs)! 🍦🦴 We love DIY Enrichment Treats at FOMAS. We've provided an easy, pet-friendly recipe that chefs of any skill level can enjoy making!

You can make these for your pets at home or bring some to Louisville Metro Animal Services to donate to community animals!

Delivery Instructions
1. Drop off any treats at Metro Animal Services at 3528 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40218 during normal business hours
2. If you or your child needs service hours for school or work, please contact David Payne, the Executive Director of FOMAS, at [email protected]. FOMAS is happy to complete any forms for the time spent making and dropping off these treats.

Colleen Zirnheld is a faithful Field Tripper at Metro Animal Services! 🚗🚙 Field Trips are a special form of volunteering, where members of the community take dogs out on the town. This is enriching for the animals, and it allows them to be seen as themselves, rather than as a shelter dog. Colleen has attended numerous adoption events, always trying her best to get a furry friend adopted.
