Your dog groomer is more than just someone who bathes and cuts your dogs hair…
We watch your dogs grow up… sometimes from puppies.. till the end .. then we cry with you looking back on all the years of haircuts and time together..
Sometimes it’s mid life and we work with a dog that is terrified because of a previous bad experience somewhere else… regaining trust and showing them that not all groomers are the same.
We dance with them.. we hug them.. we get/give kisses.. we sit with them when they are scared/nervous.. we talk to them…
Some bust through the doors ready to go back and see all their humans they love so much.. some absolutely hate the drop off process…
But we also have to deliver news you may not want to hear.. we are hands on.. we touch every square inch of your dog at one point or another before they leave after their haircuts. We tell you about ear infections, bad teeth, new warts, limping, or even if your dog just isn’t being themselves… but we also tell you about new lumps and bumps..
These flowers came from one grateful owner that we told just that… her dog had a fairly large lump grow on her belly.. it didn’t feel right… she didn’t know it was there.
It was cancer…..
She was able to get her into surgery and the vet was able to remove it all…
Because of her dog groomer.. that person that “just” cuts dog hair.. or “just” gives your dog a bath.. she gets to have her dog be with her, happy and healthy, for years to come.
These flowers (and a fruit basket that didn’t last long) were a small token of appreciation for helping save that dogs life…
