BAD BREATH IS NOT NORMAL IN DOGS OR CATS!
Take a moment to look at your dog or cat's teeth. Do they look like this???
If so, then they are due for a dental cleaning as soon as possible. Dental cleanings are SO important! This "brown/yellow" material you see on their teeth is ⭐BACTERIA⭐ that travels through the bloodstream directly to your baby's heart, liver, kidneys, etc! That bacteria is the cause of the bad breath you're smelling. If the bacteria is not removed, it will lead to dental disease, tooth infection and abscess, necessary tooth extraction, possible tooth fracture, even liver and kidney failure! 😳
It's not too late! Call us to schedule a dental cleaning today!
*Dental x-rays are included with ALL dental cleanings for early disease detection.

We look forward to seeing you and your horse(s) soon!
For nearly ten years, Bannon Woods Veterinary Hospital grew from the back of a truck, traveling the greater Louisville-area, predominantly treating equine patients. It was not long before Dr. Robertson began treating small animals at her horse calls, as owners placed their trust in her and wanted her to treat their entire furry family. Thus the dream was born to build a hospital where owners could bring any animal, large or small, for quality care from professionals they personally know and trust.
We broke ground in August of 2015 on Dr. Robertson’s family farm. The goal was to build a physical hospital location to expand our services and treat everyone’s beloved family members, large or small! In January of 2016, Bannon Woods Veterinary Hospital opened its physical doors at a temporary location in downtown Fairdale (now the Pet Spa.) The grand opening of our finished hospital was in June of 2016 and our entire community and client base was invited to come join the celebration!
Our goal is simple:
Our personal pets are exactly that - our family members. This inspires us to constantly improve our services by investing in the best technologies and educating ourselves of the latest advancements, so that we can offer the highest quality of medicine to you and your pets.
We encourage annual check-up visits for all of your furbabies to screen them for underlying health problems. We truly believe that regular, preventative medicine can help improve the longevity of your pets.
However, we know that not every visit to us may be a happy, expected one. We want to be there when you need us most and know that it can be hard to trust external referrals. That is why we offer advanced internal medicine and surgical services, so that we are here when you need us. From colic surgery to orthopedic corrections, the Bannon Woods Veterinary Hospital team provides it all.
We are also considered an integrative hospital, meaning we incorporate holistic options and therapies into our medicine whenever possible. These services include laser therapy, chiropractic care, and the use of stem cells and platelet rich plasmas, among many more services.
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of caring for your animal family. If we have not met yet, we hope to meet you one day (soon!)
