You may remember Miss Rosalita 🥀

She originally came to us back in October after being found dumped in a ditch in rural KY. Rosie was emaciated, full of parasites and skin infection and weighed in at just TWO pounds. Our resilient girl developed rickets from malnutrition but quickly bounced back with good vitamins and love! 🥺 She was adopted back in December once she was healthy, but it was not the best fit. She has been settling back into her foster home for a few weeks now and patiently waiting for her forever family to scoop her up. 💕

Rosalita is a petite girl weighing a little over 20lbs at around 6 months old! She is the goofiest pup with prettiest eyes and the best ears! 😍 Rosie can be shy at first when meeting new friends, but will quickly warm up and show you just how much personality this energizer bunny has! Rosie loves to hangout near her people, and will often carry her toys room to room so she can play close while her foster mom does chores. 🥺

She LOVES earning treats, any and every toy, and playing with her furry foster siblings. She would be best with dogs who don’t mind her spunky play style and obsession with kissing faces. 😘

Rosies top two breeds are pittie and border collie — DNA test is pictured. Please remember this petite precious girl is high energy and she is a herding breed mix so she thrives when exercised both mentally and physically. 🥰

Rosalita is doing great house training, is quiet in her crate, and working hard on basic commands. Leash walking is a work in progress so she will need continued guidance. We would like to share a very special girl with you today. This is Roo Roo. ♥️

Roo holds a special place in our hearts. She has consistently been let down by humans. Since we have known her she has been given up on by FIVE different families. 💔 Roo was found as a stray then her first adoptive family decided they didn’t have enough time for her, the next family eventually decided she was too big, then there were changes in the home that didn’t include her… the list of reasons she was not important enough to remain a forever family member goes on and on, but not a single one was a fault of her own. 💔

Roo Roo is a 7-8 year old rottie/lab/boxer mix weighing in at 90lbs. She is an exceptionally sweet girl and her foster mom is smitten with her. She is doing great with the dogs in her foster home and enjoys playtime with the 10 pound yorkie and 100lb dogo! She is also a big fan of nap time and just chilling out.

After losing one home after the other, it can understandably take some time for Roo to settle in, so a patient and understanding family is a MUST.

Wishful Wednesday — Tot is wishing for a home! 🥹🥹

And then there was one...

Tot 💙 is the last bottle baby, and smallest, from the Potato litter still looking for his home! 🥔

Tot came to us at about 10 days old after he and his siblings were dumped without their momma to feed and care for them. This sweet kiddo has thrived with his foster family after lots of love, care, and sleepless nights bottle feeding every 2 hours around the clock. 😴

Tot loves playing with his foster siblings and exploring in the yard. Tug of war is his favorite game, but he also doesn't mind entertaining himself with a good bone. When he is tired he will find his way to his crate for a nap or snuggle up with his human. 😍

Tot is a pittie mix and guessed to be around 40-60lbs full grown! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. Pistachio has been in rescue for almost 5 months with no interest 😭😭😭

He is the sweetest boi that just takes a little bit to warm up. He’s a smart and active German Shepard mix that has gone to professional training and would do best in a family that is willing to continue it! He’s got the bestest ears and silly personality. 🐶

Cloud has spent 210 DAYS in foster care after being rescued from deplorable conditions that she lived in for quite some time. 💔 This girl deserves her chance at forever… 🥺

This 2-year-old pittie mix is as sweet as her name suggests. Though she’s a bit shy at first, once she warms up, she’s a total lovebug who’ll steal your heart! Cloud adores snuggling after a good play session and enjoys spending time with her doggy foster brother. 🐶

She’s attended a two week board and train program and is ready to show off her good manners in her forever home! Cloud is house trained, crate trained, e-collar trained, and knows basic commands! If you’re patient and looking for a big baby to love, Cloud will be your perfect companion. ☁️

Pony Boy is a spunky 12lb, 3 year old, silky terrier! 🐶

This guy may be small, but he has the heart of a big dog and has no problem fitting right in with the crowd! Pony Boy does well with dogs and humans of all ages! His best friend is his resident pittie sister, Hazel! They are quite the precious duo. 😍

On this chilly Wednesday morning, these sweet boys are wishing for their forever homes. ✨

Tater and Tot are adorable 9-week-old pittie pups, but despite being spud-tacular, they’ve received no applications. 🥺

Tater, the chunky guy, is a very loving guy and tends to be more of a couch puptato. He loves a good snack, hanging out with his people, and an occasional romp with his furry siblings. 🥔

Tot, the small fry, is more spunky and playful of the two. He is a happy boy and loves to play with other dogs and his toys. Once he’s all wore out he enjoys a good nap with his soft blanket or his person! 🍟

This resilient little guy has come a long way since arriving at the rescue severely malnourished and anemic. 🥺 Thanks to his dedicated foster parents and weekly vet checkups, Pistachio has blossomed into a happy, healthy pup with an irresistible love for snuggles and playtime.

At MisPits and Friends, since 2017, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for rescue animals and working tirelessly to find them loving forever homes. Good morning Facebookland and Happy Hump Day :)

We hope everyone is staying safe and warm. The vast majority of dog owners are currently are realizing just how domesticated dogs have become because they said the snow hitting the bum AINT IT. .....You try it 🤣

Although it was another trying year for rescue, we are still here and still saving dogs to the best of our abilities. In 2024 we managed to save 86 dogs! In todays day in age, even one is win. Since our inception we have taken in 1719 dogs and that's something to be proud about! it goes without saying that this is not possible without our incredible continued support system. Even a simple "share" can be the reason for a dog being saved or adopted. Rescue is truly a community effort. Whether you volunteer, foster, donate or simply show up to an event, it ALL makes a difference and is a vital part of what makes running a rescue successful.

“Tootie-booty is snug as a bug 🥰 This sweet girl is a 5 month old border collie/pit mix. She’s a very smart, well behaved girl who can be a little shy at first. She would love a family who is willing to give her a little time to settle in! A few minutes is all she needs to become friends - throw in a treat or a fun toy and the deal is sealed 😉 She gets along well with other dogs, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and just wants to be near her person ❤️ We’ve also experimented with no crate and she’s done just fine! Seriously one of the easiest, best foster puppies we’ve ever had 🤩”

Tater 💙 from the Potato litter! 🥔

Tater came to us at about 10 days old after he and his siblings were dumped without their momma to feed and care for them. These sweet kiddos have thrived with their foster families after lots of love, care, and sleepless nights bottle feeding every 2 hours around the clock. 😴 We are so thrilled that they have become such fun loving and incredible 8 week old chunky pups. They will make such special additions to their forever homes! ♥️

This squishy, chunky monkey loves playing with his foster siblings and exploring in the yard. But he can also be a bit of a loner. When he is tired of everyone's shenanigans, he will happily wander off to chew a bone or nap in his crate. 🤣
This boy LOVES sleep and will be happy to crawl up in your lap and snuggle. 😍

Hughie had so much fun at the Cave Hill Cemetery Dog Walk today! How has this good boy not got a single application???

Meet Miss Mia, a charming one-year-old hound mix with a sleek, long-legged profile. Initially a bit shy, Mia transforms into an affectionate love bug once she's comfortable. She will press herself into you and give you all the kisses you will let her. She enjoys contorting herself in silly ways and she has a very expressive face. 🥸 Due to her exuberance, she'd thrive in a home with older children who can appreciate her oversized puppy enthusiasm. 🤪 Mia boasts velvety soft fur, expressive eyes, and endearing hound ears. Mispits had a super fun Saturday! We kicked off the day bright and early with the Pupkin Spice 5k. Everyone had such creative costumes it was hard to pick winners 👻 Afterwards, we went to PG&J's to hang out for a while and saw lots of alumni and brought some goodie bags for Halloween 🐾🐾 Thanks to everyone who came out! We couldn’t do it without your support 😊

Kendall, Henry, Mia, Greta, and Rosie sure had fun handing out candy at Kroger yesterday. Kendall has grown up in rescue and is a dog whisperer. She helped us out by manning the candy for a bit today. Henry is a five year old shepherd mix of some sort maybe who loves everyone (especially kiddos) and is dog friendly! He’s done great with house training and picks up on things quickly! Mia is a white houndy mix and is a one year old bundle of fun. This girl loves nothing more than giving super slobbery kisses. She has the most beautiful eyes. Greta is a 7 month old shepherd mix (a guess) with the sweetest demeanor. She had a tough start in life but you’d never know now. She is good with everything! Rosie is guessed to be a poodle mix around five years old. She’s got a longer body and is kind of wiry haired. She’s loves everyone!
