I wanted to depict something. Patience and Consistency. Without the two you will never get to where you want to be with your dog. This was just 5 minutes with Dodger tonight but it’s something I personally want to address. He’s extremely lacking in the impulse control department, so it starts here with me. This will later transfer to other things in his life but he must be able to do the small things first.
I’m molding him and he has no idea that he’s starting on new path. He soon realized that barking no longer gets him anywhere. As you see the last two clips, no barking. It diminished each time and you can see him thinking in spots. This is the only way he can get out to be with me and have fun. Before this was a way to unlock anything he wanted; when he wanted. Even if it happened only a few times. Be patient and be consistent in your training or you’ll do will remain confused. Also, remember you’re always training whether you know not or not. Your dog is watching 👀 🐕
