To our valued clients,
This is a notice of policy changes and additional fees that will go into effect on OCTOBER 1, 2024. We are hoping that these changes result in overall better care of our canine friends and shorter turn around times as we enter the busy holiday season and beyond. We appreciate your loyalty as the 6 of us have tried to navigate the best possible care and grooming for around 25 wonderful dogs we get to see every day.
DROP OFF TIME LATE FEE:
Drop off begins at 7:30am on Tuesday and Thursday, and 8:00am on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Last drop off is 10:00am. Effective October 1, 2024 drop offs past 10:00 will have $1 per dog, per minute late drop off fee. No dog will be accepted for drop off past 10:45am. After 10:45 the dog/s will have to be rescheduled or wait till the next appointment depending on availability.
EXPRESS FEE:
The average salon turn around time is 5-6 hours. Immunodeficient, very senior dogs, and puppies under 6 months are taken through the grooming process sooner. Any dog that we do not feel falls into these categories will have an average turn around time, possibly longer depending on the day. As we work with dogs, we cannot guarantee that problems or behavior will not slow us down on any given day. If you have a specific pick up time you need, please inform us before the day of your appointment, as you may need to bring the dog in sooner to get the time you need. ANY time request made the day of the appointment or after drop off will have an express fee of $30 added to the bill.
DE-MATTING FEES:
We pride ourselves on our clients keeping their hair. We brush out every dog before they go to the tub. Small dogs are allotted 10 minutes of brush out time and large or show coated dogs are allotted 15 minutes of brush out time. We try to catch serious matting at check in to cover the coat care options, however we may also call you if we find an issue after you've left. Options for matting depend on severity. The first option is brushing out at $1 per minute past allotted brush out time, this is for dogs who may only have chunks of matting in trouble spots. The second option is shaving off and starting over at $1 per 2 minutes, this is for dogs who are over half matted or pelted at the skin. We are happy to work with you on finding the right length that is manageable for your individual dog's needs. Also, we are happy to discuss and show you the proper brushes and combs for your dog's coat type as well as show you how to use them correctly.
