Pupdate
We did 3 AI’s last week with one of our females. Fingers crossed that we have some babies in the oven.
I’ll be ultrasounding her in about 3 weeks and try to confirm.
We’ve received text/ messages from people wanting to know when we will start taking deposits. I apologize that we’ve not had a chance to reply back to everyone individually. Typically we do not start taking deposits until the pups are at least 4-6 wks old. A lot can happen during the first 4 wks so we do not want to promise any puppies until we know they are all on the right track and thriving. We also like to get a feel for each pup’s personality so we can make sure each pup is getting placed in a home that is best suited for them. And, there’s always a chance that we may decide to keep a pup back for ourselves. Especially with this litter. It’s been several years since we’ve used one of our studs. When we started raising this breed 12 years ago we always used our male. Over the years as our females got older and retired, we’ve kept a few females back from our litters. We’ve also kept males back with the intention of using them as future studs. And finally, we are far enough down the bloodline that we can use our studs on our breeding females. Our family’s beyond excited and we’re hoping to have a couple Brindle babies. Our past few litters have given us fawn and white pups. Our founding bulldogs, the ones that are the reason we fell in love with this breed were brindles. So we are just a little partial to brindle.
As things move along(hopefully in the right direction) we will update the page and also start posting pics of momma as her tummy grows.
