(LOKR) was established to provide care for orphaned kittens under six weeks of age. We specialize in bottle-feeding kittens from newborn to weaning. We believe that no kitten should be euthanized because no one can/will care for him. We accept kittens rescued from feral cats, found by caring people, or too young for shelters and other rescues to care for. Our fosters are based in the Louisville ar

Wally was found at about 7 days old in a Texas Roadhouse parking lot and rescued by Little Orphans. Wally was a joy to bottle feed and is now nearly 11.5 lbs and 8 months old. He's the sweetest little cat ever, loves to snuggle, and simply gorgeous. Thank you Little Orphans!

Hello! We adopted Ramen (now Charli) in January of 2023, and April (now Mitski) in June 2023! They are the best (and craziest) cats in the world. We were told Charli was the runt of the litter but ironically he turned into a gentle GIANT in no time 🥹. And Mitski is the acrobat of the family, constantly running and doing flips for no reason.

🐾 Welcome to Little Orphan Kittens Rescue! Since 2011, we’ve been on a mission to save motherless, nursing kittens, often called “bottle babies.” These tiny kittens require around-the-clock care, and thanks to our amazing fosters, we’ve given hundreds of kittens a second chance at life. 💕

🌟 Meet Gibbs, who came to us at just 3 ounces! He needed to have part of his tail amputed and he was covered in fleas and some other nasty things. With your help, we nursed him back to health and found his forever home!

Castor (left) and Pollux (right) were named after the twin brothers who wanted to be together forever (only one was immortal), so their father, Zeus, turned them into the Gemini constellation. Little Orphans Kitten Rescue has no paid staff - we're all volunteers! Most of us have full-time jobs outside of LOKR. We do our best but sometimes we aren't able to respond promptly or take in as many kittens as we'd like to. One of our goals as we get ready to enter 2025 is to hire a part-time paid staff member - someone who could really dedicate their full attention to LOKR, helping to recruit more fosters and get more kittens adopted. Happy Halloween! We still have two boys up for adoption from one of our fosters. The brown tabby is named Beckett and the grey and white kitten is named Franz. They cannot wait to find their forever homes! Franz loves to give kisses and cuddles. Beckett has plenty of energy! We hope they can go together as a bonded pair, but please let us know if you would like to adopt one of them!
