Great news! AKC has just announced starting Jan 15th, the AKC STAR puppy award will now be a title you can have added to your dog's registered name! The AKC STAR puppy is a 6 week course (meeting once a week) for puppies 12 weeks to 1 year provided they have all their puppy shots for safety. You do not have to have a puppy registered with AKC to participate in this amazing opportunity to do more with your puppy, but you will need one (which you can message me regarding how to obtain one for an adopted dog/mixed breed) if you wish to have the title recorded and receive the official title and certificate from AKC.

This is a great starting point to provide socialization in a structured environment as well as start to introduce key elements for the puppy to work towards their CGC and up.

This course/test uses food, clickers, and praise throughout to help shape wanted behaviors around distractions of other puppies and people and also help puppies get used to being relaxed and handled by others.

I would LOVE to host a Star Puppy course but would need at least 3 interested as that is the minimum to provide accurate distractions and socialization. Price of this course will be $150 and includes at the end (if passed) an AKC Star Puppy Ribbon, custom certificate, and paperwork to submit to AKC if you wish to add the title to your pup's registered name and receive their official certificate. There will also be a little graduation hat for photos to remember this accomplishment with!

If passed, you will be mailed a ribbon and a copy of your paperwork (can send digitally as well for quicker turn around) if you choose to submit to akc! Did you know that you can still test for CGC, Trick titles, virtual home manners, ect even if your dog isn't registered? While they won't be recorded, you can still earn the title and ribbon and choose to submit later (within a year) or just have the ribbon showing what your dog can do! Those that choose not to submit or do not have a registered dog, just let me know and I would be happy to create a certificate for you to keep showing your accomplishments with your furry friends. My dms are always open to learning more and what all you can accomplish with your friend.

AKC evaluating services offered

Amai got some professional photos done with Treasured Pets Fine Art today. She even got to pick out a toy that she is currently at home snuggling. I am thankful for their patience with her zoomies and wanting to help redecorate all the flowers. Can't wait to see the final products!

Ribbons are in for the Virtual Home Manners testing sale starting on Thursday! $5 testing while ribbons last so don't wait!

You do not need to have a registered dog with akc to do this test. Mixes and non registered dogs always welcome to show what you have accomplished with your furry friend!

Testing is done via video and can be recorded in sections for each test item.

Ribbons will be mailed promptly after passing but paperwork will be sent electronically.

*$30 fee to submit title to akc to add to your registered name.
*$5 due before video will be reviewed and is non refundable even if dog does not pass
