How often do you take the time to actually play with your dog?

As trainers we use play to create a bond and relationship with the dog. We are exerting their energy all day with sometimes stressful sessions but we always do our best to make sure we make the environment fun too! We find it important to exercise the dog mentally as well as physically so that they are fulfilled throughout the day. My personal favorite way to exercise any dog is to use their commands while we play! Grizzly for example has bounds of energy and loves ball, so I ask him to do simple things as we play so that I work his mind and his body! Working the dog’s mind and body can make for shorter play sessions if you are short on time. Also, use the nasty weather to your advantage! Your dog doesn’t like to go potty outside in the rain? Make it a priority to play in the rain so that they can get comfortable existing in the rain.

Congratulations to Sunny and Rosie!

These ladies did stellar during their program! They were so excited to be reunited with their family and show them everything that they learned. Their little brother Nash even came along so that we could practice all of their commands together! Each of them did fantastic and we can’t wait to see them this week to see how everything is going at home!

We agree, he’s too precious for words! We don’t get to see Portuguese Water Dogs too often, and it’s always a treat when we do!

This little guy has an amazing foundation, truly. His parents prepped for him for years and it shows! We’re thrilled to be part of his training journey and will be focused on confidence building, exposure to grooming tools and handling, and experiencing the world!

Congratulations to Peaches!

This sweet angel graduated her private puppy program with flying colors! We took on Maples park as our final distraction and she did wonderful around all the sights and sounds.

We have to brag on her family for putting so much work into this girl while she is young. They have done a fabulous job of creating the best puppy, so they will have a great dog in the future.
