Norton Healthcare talks transformational development in West Louisville
WATCH: Norton Healthcare Chief Operating Officer, Russell Cox, talked the West Louisville hospital and the transformational development happening for this historic part of our community.
“When I think about Chris (Dischinger), when I think about Lisa and everybody a part of LDG, at Norton Healthcare, we say a lot, It’s important to do that right thing, but it’s also important to do the right thing the right way… This (The Eclipse in Russell) is the right thing, and it’s being done the right way.
We looked at this as an opportunity for a partnership that became exponential, and it has… one of the things I said… was It was our hope that this commitment by Norton Healthcare would cause other organizations to invest, to trust, and see that it was the right thing to do, to invest in West Louisville and begin to lift up our community in a different way. And today, here we are tangible evidence that it does work that way. As a community we can build this momentum, we can create these great things that are happening. I am so excited about this, I can’t wait for it, we’re in a race right now to see if the hospital can be built first or if the Eclipse will be built first; so it’s game on!” - Russell Cox

Chris Dischinger talks journey to West Louisville, importance of partnership
WATCH: LDG's co-principal Chris Dischinger talks journey in West Louisville, excitement of the Eclipse in Russell development, and the importance of partnership.
"It’s a little bit of an emotional day for me because LDG really started our career in West Louisville… We don’t come here lightly, and we don’t come here for the first time today. But today is a very, very exciting day because we know what we’re building here today will be as nice as any property in Downtown, any property in the East end, any property in any neighborhood."- Chris Dischinger
Mayor Craig Greenberg acknowledges LDG's investment in the Russell Neighborhood
WATCH: Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg was in attendance of our Eclipse in Russell groundbreaking and addressed the importance of partnership and investing affordable housing in West Louisville.
"This (The Eclipse in Russell) project is important for so many reasons because it’s new affordable housing but also because of its investment here in West Louisville. It’s an investment made through partnership. This is really what it’s all about, and how I think we will continue to achieve our goals here in Russell, and the other neighborhoods of West Louisville... Affordable housing is the foundation. It’s the foundation of safety, for education, for health, for prosperity and for love…
Think about this model of partnership for how this success is happening. How this impressive community impact is happening. Because I truly believe that through partnership we will make Louisville a safer city, a stronger city, and a healthier city.
Thank you all so much for what you are doing for our community, and I’m excited for this to be the first of many more important housing developments in Russell, and throughout all of Louisville." -Mayor Craig Greenberg
Everyone deserves a quality place to live.
