Meet Frank, our newest supervisor! It's about time these dogs started getting jobs so they can help pay the bills. 😂

Just kidding! Frank is one of our boarding guests who was signed up to be Dog of the Day. This means that from about 10-4, Frank hangs out at the desk with the staff and any other dogs that were signed up for this activity.

This is a great activity to sign up an older or low-energy dog for who might enjoy lounging around rather than going on long walks or playing fetch. You can sign your pup up for this activity for $17/day when they board with us! (They do have to pass an evaluation as they will most likely be around other dogs at the desk.)

Celeste is sadden to let her friends know that daycare is still going to be closed tomorrow 12/6. It’s not supposed to be above freezing until about 2. We’re pretty sure daycare will be back open Saturday but please keep an eye on our page. Stay warm friends!

Hey fern creek pals, unfortunately the high for tomorrow is only 25° with a real feel of 15° (yikes!) So with that being said we are canceling daycare for tomorrow also. We’ve got the space for them to come hang out for the day if needed though! Otherwise we hope everyone stays warm & cozy

WINTER REMINDER:

The play area for Doggie Daycare at the Fern Creek Pet Resort is outside, so sometimes we have to close Daycare for the safety of both our staff and the furry friends that come to visit. We wanted to post a reminder about this as the temperatures begin to lower.

Our general rule of thumb is to close Daycare if the temperature will be below freezing for the majority of the day, and/or it is expected for ice to form overnight, since ice on the Daycare gravel makes it more likely for a dog to hurt their paw pads or to slip and hurt themselves when running around.

We do our best to post the afternoon before a closure, so keep an eye on our page! With the exception of holidays or weekends, we typically have space for Day Boarding as needed; just remember to give us a call to schedule!

Doggie Daycare will be closed again tomorrow, Wednesday 12/4, due to continued low temps. The real feel is still expected to be below freezing most of the day which means it would be very uncomfortable for both our staff and your pups to be out for too long. Unfortunately it looks like this will continue for most of this week so please keep an eye out for further updates!
