Pet Sitting & Care by Emily, LLC

Pet Sitting & Care by Emily, LLC Licensed - Insured - First Aid/CPR Certified - Fear Free Certified Welcome! I provide in- home pet/farm sitting and care for the Loveland and Berthoud areas.

Requests for service outside of these will be evaluated on a case by case basis. Every pet is special so I take pride in creating individual plans for your unique circumstances. I understand how daunting it can feel to leave your pets while you are gone. My goal is to make sure your pet(s) is relaxed, stays within a familiar routine and gets the same level of care as they would when you’re home. I

believe a large part in achieving this includes keeping them in their home and therefore do not offer boarding. Pet sitting and pet care is not a side job for me. I take this very seriously and treat every critter as if they’re my own. I have over 25 years experience with small and large animal animals and special needs animals (cancer, illness, paralysis, Cushings/diabetes, etc). I am bonded and insured, certified in animal first aid and cpr, double certified in equine massage, a member of Pet Sitter Associates (PSA) and working on becoming a certified fear free professional.

Everyone meet our new addition! She’s only 4 months old and getting along splendidly with Anna. I think Olivia has decided on the name “Mocha.” We’ve been calling her Mo, MoMo, Mochs, Mochi, and MochaJo 😝 She’s a snuggle bug and a lover for sure!

Thank you Cavies and Canines Animal Rescue for helping us find Anna a friend!

First day in the books! They’re not kidding when they say you hit the ground running! 🏃‍♀️ I am really excited though!!!

And then there was one…. For now. Waiting on necropsy results from CSU to make sure whatever Elsa had wasn’t contagious then we will get Anna a friend!

If you have not already please check out Cavies and Canines Animal Rescue. I have been sort of silently watching their organization since they took on that horrendous hoarding case last year. Natalie has already been invaluable full of help, knowledge, and hope. To a lot of people it was “just a guinea pig,” but to us she was family. I’m so happy to find others who feel the same.

RIP to our little Elsa 💔 this illness came on SO fast this morning and there was nothing more we could do. We didn’t want her to suffer so we sent her up to the rainbow bridge surrounded with love, scritches, and snuggles.

Update on Eaton Fire Emergency:
We have taken in over 300 animals due to evacuations and have staff and volunteers working nonstop to help with their care. We are starting to see many animals coming in with burns and injuries. These animals are being treated in our ICU. We are providing them with pain medications, wound care, fluid, and oxygen as needed.

We’re working with shelters across the state who have offered to take in the animals that were already in our care so that we can focus on providing resources to the displaced animals. A huge thank you to the shelters throughout California who are offering assistance, as well as all people in our community reaching out to volunteer or donate. Our biggest need right now is for monetary donations to help provide emergency resources to animals affected by the wildfires.

If you are being evacuated and can go somewhere with your pets–such as a friend or family member’s home–that is ideal. If you are evacuating, please take your animals with you. We are very thankful that the Pasadena Civic Center has allowed people to stay with their pets. We are helping in any way that we can–providing them with resources such as food and leashes for the displaced families. We also have pet food available at the shelter for those who need it. If you cannot go somewhere that allows your pet to stay with you, you can bring your animals to the shelter where we are offering emergency boarding.

Our Animal Control Officers have been on the ground helping animals in the community. While they are not going into the active fire areas, we are preparing to get in many injured animals that will need our help in those areas once the fires are cleared. If you find injured wildlife, please text our wildlife helpline at 626.344.1129. If you find any other animal, including dogs and cats, please call Animal Control at 626.792.7151 ext. 970.

We anticipate getting in even more animals who are in need of emergency medical care as the fires continue. If you are able to donate, please visit https://give.pasadenahumane.org/give/654134/ #!/donation/checkout
