BKK Jolly Performance Horses

Some of the Horses that make up the BKK Jolly herd are ones that were not raised by us but by our family. Jack and Lois Jolly have been raising quality quarter horses for over 40 years. Their stallion Our Playgun and own son of Playgun has produced offspring capable of all disciplines. We are honored to have one of his offspring for our daughter to be able to show and rope on once he is going under saddle.

Our Rey Gun "Mud" as Korbyn has named him is by Our Playgun and out of an own daughter of Magneticat. This c**t has the brains and looks to take him far. His future is bright and he adores his "girl". We are working with Brian Venn to get this nice c**t started this spring, and we can't wait!! Keep an eye out for them as a pair!!

Some of our younger ones enjoying the sunny day! Our Rey Gun "Mud" a nicely bred 3 yr old gelding from the LLJ Ranch in Southern Colorado, owned by our daughter. Along with BKK LastLuckyDiamond "Sid" our 2024 c**t by SHR QT's DiamondCutter. He is available and would love to see him go to a show home! We also have another bred the same way coming spring of 2025.

A look at the BKK riding horses out on pasture during this cold Colorado day! Stay warm out there folks. Soon enough we will be spending out entire day outside on the back of these wonderful horses. A few will be making themselves avaliable for purchase this spring/summer, so keep and eye out!!

Been awhile since we last posted, been busy with hauling Korbyn the past year to Johnstown Saddle club events and TWP jackpots. She and her gelding BKK Slick Whiskey were the 2024 JSC Gymkhana champions. She also holds the 2024 and 2025 Jr. Queen title. We have some huge news coming out in regard to one of our home grown home raised c**ts. BKK Tru Black Bruiser "Bruiser" is in the training world and will be standing in 2026 to a limited number of mares. This c**t has everything you're looking for in a Jr. Stallion. He is homozygous for black and tobiano so will NEVER throw a red foal. His sire A Tru Rolex is APHA's highest point earning stallion to date. On his dam side his grandsire is Sugs Tru Luck who himself is a multiple APHA world champion title holder. World champions are all over this c**t's papers and we can't wait to see what he accomplishes in the years to come in the show pen.

We want to congratulate Wendy on her purchase of BKK Electric Slide also known to everyone around here as Awz. He headed off to his new adventure with Justin Borders Performance Horses in Yoder CO where he will continue to be started under saddle and start his career. This was a hard one to sell for myself as he had quite an eventful 1st 2 years. This isn't goodbye Awz but see ya later. Can't wait to see what this c**t accomplishes and to see his future offspring.

We want to congratulate Stephanie on her purchase of our lovely mare Freckles Hot Nu Gun we had available!! We can't wait to see what these 2 accomplish this year in the roping pen!! She will be greatly missed at our place!!

Another bit of exciting news along with a little bit of sad (for myself) is that we are happy to announce BKK ELECTRIC SLIDE (Awz) found himself a new home where his new owner Wendy Rohrbough is going to continue his training with Matt and Cordingly of Thermopolis, WY. We are so excited for what the future holds for this beautiful stallion we have raised. Keep an eye out for him next year as Wendy plans to promote and stand this own son of REF Black Mamba and out of an own daughter of Neat Little Cat.

Well it's that time of year where we here at BKK Jolly Performance Horses are busy with getting horses legged up for the summer season and getting the farm ready for summer crops. Over the past month we have welcomed a long over due member to the crew. Our great mare Doc Sock N Sail had her c**t BKK TOPSAILMOONSHINE "Mitchell" a beautiful chestnut c**t by the late Cats Moonshine. He is not only fancy but we have big plans for this guy going forward.

What a beautiful weekend we had! Got the horses out and rode and got updated pictures of the ones who are available to the public. We have something for everyone. PM for prices on all! Videos will be posted on Awz and Anna in separate posts.

1st we have a black and white 2022 APHA homozygous black and tobiano stallion BKK TRU BLACK BRUISER 6 panel negative. Bruiser is by the highest point earning APHA world champion stallion A Tru Rolex and out of an own daughter of multiple APHA world champion stallion Sugs Tru Luck. He is a stallion project with amazing bloodlines and color. He is halter broke, stnads to he tied and loads in a trailer. He is good for the farrier and the vet as well. He stands currently at 14 hands. More pictures available for those interested. PM for more info if interested.

2nd is a black 2021 AQHA Stallion BKK ELECTRIC SLIDE. Awz is a coming 2 yr old that we have started under saddle this past month. He has had 5 rides and is coming along very nicely. He stands 14.2. He is 4 panel clean N/GBED. He is by REF BLack Mamba earner of $127k and out of an own daughter of Neat Little Cat earner of $279,500. PM for more info.

3rd we have a 2017 chestnut AQHA mare Freckles Hot Nu Gun. "Anna" is a well put together mare with a great foundation in the roping pen. We started her last year in roping on both sides, she was previously used on our ranch to help gather cows and has seen some country. This mare will go where you point her. She has no buck in her even with time off she rides out the same. She stands 15 hands and roughly weighs 1150. She has potential to make a wonderful all around horse for a handy youth. She also is bred nicely enough that once you are done riding her, she could raise a few babies. She is easy to catch and trailers wonderfully. PM for more details.

Doc Sock N Sail is officially 300 days, now the countdown begins. We are very excited for this foal by the late Cats Moonshine. April can't come soon enough!!

We at BKK Jolly Performance Horses are ready for winter to be over so we can get back to the arena. We however have been keeping busy with getting horses worked as regular as we can when the weather permits. Awz is learning round pen basics and will be getting going under saddle in the weeks to come. We are also anxiously awaiting the arrival of our Cats Moonshine baby due in April and out of our great mare Leila who is by Sail On Surprise.

We also recieved all our genetic and color results on our 2022 APHA foal BKK Tru Black Bruiser by A Tru Rolex x Sugs Lucky Buttons x Sugs Tru Luck. This c**ts pedigree is loaded with multiple APHA world champions. He also is homozygous for Tobiano and Black and is panel clean. We are excited for this c**ts future in our program.
