Scroungy Dogs and Pretty Pups Rescue, Inc. We are located in Northern Colorado and hold adoption events usually in Loveland, CO.

We are an all volunteer, all breed, 501(c)(3) nonprofit dog rescue dedicated to rescuing dogs from high volume shelters and finding them permanent, loving homes. We are a 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to getting dogs out of shelters and into loving homes! All dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (over a year) and microchipped. All of our dogs are in foster homes awaiting their forever families to find them.

Meet Candy - a sweet soul with a second chance!

After spending her life giving love, Candy is finally ready to receive it! This beautiful 10-year old Shepherd/heeler? mix has been through a lot - from wandering the streets of Houston, TX, underweight and alone, to blossoming into a happy, healthy girl in her Colorado foster home.

But the sweetest part of Candy's story? She's not just a survivor, she is a mom also. Candy gave birth to three gorgeous puppies and has been the most nurturing, gently mama you could imagine.

Candy is a very gentle, mellow and well-mannered lady, with playful bursts of energy. Candy may be in her golden years, but she still have plenty of love - and tail wags - to give. She is the perfect companion for a laid-back home that wants a shadow, a walking buddy, and a sweet soul curled up at your feet at the end of the day.

Candy will need a six foot privacy fence, as she is able to climb split rail and chain link.

Candy is heartworm positive and is currently being treated in Windsor, Colorado. She will need to remain local, as her treatment will need to continue (cost covered by the rescue) in Windsor.

Jelly Roll, affectionately called "JR," is the only male in his litter and stands out for both his intelligence and gentle nature. Beyond his handsome appearance, JR is a calm and affectionate puppy who listens well, enjoys being close to people, and loves to snuggle

Meet Simone! Simone is a spirited young girl with a big personality packed into her tall, lean frame. Don't let her size fool you, she is strong-willed, confident, and full of energy.

With her keen nose and natural retrieving instincts, Simone shows all the classic traits of a bird dog and might possibly make a fantastic hunting companion with the right training. She is an adventurous pup who loves exploring and would thrive in an active home where she can stretch her legs, engage her curoious mind, and bond closely with her people.

Meet Fiona! Fiona is the biggest of her litter and her personality is just as big! With her gorgeous slate-gray coat and matching gray eyes, this girl is a stunner!

She is sweet, sassy and super smart - already learning basic commands and doing great on leash walks! Plus, she is a total water baby and LOVES to splash around. Fiona is ready to bring fun, affection and her fabulous self to her forever home.

Fiona is currently 14 weeks and 26 lbs, so she will likely be a medium to large dog full grown.

Meet Sugar! If you must have personal space and distance, Sugar is not for you. She is the most precious, loving girl, and she deserves every pet and every lap she seeks out. Hard times on the streets are in her past. She is great with her foster's big dogs, they have all established their boundaries nicely! The growlies have subsided! She now walks under her 50 lb hound mix, who is pretty bossy.

Sugar deserves all the attention and love she can get, and will give you plenty in return. Currently snoring quietly under the fuzzy blanket on the couch we’re sharing after a long day at the office. Bonus: Best office doggie ever! Not reactive at all to other dogs coming in to the clinic, including a giant Rottweiler. Dang, this girl is brave!

This sweet 4 yr old girl is heartworm positive. We will pay for her treatment, but it will need to be completed in Windsor, Colorado. She will also require an adopter who will be committed to regular grooming, as this poor girl's coat was previously horribly neglected, which is very painful for pups and she deserves better!
