Bubba's Tack Shack helps the Equine Rescue League raise money through the sale of donated horse/rider equip. Proceeds benefit the horses at the shelter.

Established in 2015, all proceeds from sales through Bubba's Tack Shack directly benefit the animals at the Equine Rescue League.

The Equine Rescue League is participating in the 2025 GiveChoose campaign. It is on March 25, 2025. GiveChoose is a 24-hour day of giving organized by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties to benefit local charities like the Equine Rescue League, serving our community.

The goal is to inspire our community to come together and to give generously to charities that make our community the best place to grow up and grow old.

Be a part of giving back by supporting the Equine Rescue League. Your support enables us to continue caring for the many victims of abuse and neglect, that come through our shelter doors.

BUT . . . you can also give early during the two weeks leading up to Give Choose beginning on March 11, 2025. You may visit https://www.givechoose.org/nonprofits/EquineRescueLeague?cid=0&kw=equine%20rescue&pg=1 to donate. It will not appear on the leader board until March 25 at midnight.

Our Story

The Equine Rescue League (ERL) receives numerous donations of tack and other equine related supplies throughout the year. Before 2015 what we didn’t use at the shelter was put into our tack sale twice a year at our open house. Now that we have a designated tack shop we can display and sell tack all year long.

All of the proceeds from the sale of donated tack and supplies supports the horses at the shelter, providing critical veterinary care, farrier care, feed, and hay. We also sell ERL merchandise, which includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, car magnets, note cards, framed photographs, etc...

A percentage from each sale goes into the Bubba fund to help equines saved from slaughter, both those the rescue takes in and those saved by others outside our organization. The ERL has saved more than 2,000 lives, and provided shelter to everything from miniature mules to draft horses, from unborn foals to forty year old mares, from grade horses of unknown breeding to granddaughters of Secretariat.

Bubba’s Tack Shack was founded Oct 17th 2015 after an eagle scout troop donated their time and effort in preparing, painting, and installing display shelves in the shop. We have a massive inventory of saddles, blankets, bridles, riding attire, and so much more at discounted prices, we will accept any reasonable offer!
