This week, Bunji Dog Training lost an important member of our team. Balto has been helping us train dogs since the moment I got started! He has always been very gentle and neutral toward other dogs, so he has helped a lot of reactive dogs to feel better about dogs, and he has also helped dozens of puppies to learn that big dogs aren’t scary.

We’ve all been really down since his passing. We miss him a lot. There are some things that are easier to do nowadays, for instance, Moony hasn’t been able to go on many outings with his sister Indie lately. Balto has had restricted mobility for a while now, and Moony provided emotional support for Balto, so they would stay home together most of the time.

We all wish we could go back in time and enjoy those active days with a younger Balto. In his memory, we are dedicating ourselves to making the most of these outings that we are now able to do as a whole family. Swipe to see what fun we had today!

Balto, you really are bigger than the whole sky. We love you and miss you. Thank you for being the best of the best, and for being ours.

I feel lucky to care for puppies that are sososo loved by their families. And I feel extra lucky when I get to spend an evening with my out-of-town families! Saffy is going to have the best life in LA.
