Here at Arrow Vet we strive to provide clients with up to date medicine. We offer Platelet Rich Plasma injections for arthritic or injured patients looking for relief.

๐Ÿ‘‰Platelet-rich plasma is blood plasma that contains highly concentrated amounts of platelets and growth factors. PRP therapy utilizes this plasma to provide your pet with a high dose of his or her bodyโ€™s own natural healing factors.
PRP is administered via injection directly to the area where it is needed, offering a highly effective, non-surgical way to treat and manage injuries and chronic ailments. Itโ€™s also a much more natural and affordable alternative to things like medication and steroid use.
๐Ÿ‘‰We also add in laser therapy over 6 session after the PRP is administered to enhance its effects.
Please call with questions and to schedule your pet's PRP treatment ๐Ÿ˜Š

Do you struggle to get your cat into the carrier for vet visits?
Here are a couple of tips:
1) Keep the carrier in the open where the cat can see it all the time. This allows the cat to get used to the presence of the carrier so they cannot predict when you will use it. Make it a part of the everyday items in your home!
2) Feed or give treats in the carrier once the cat has acclimated to it being around. This creates a more positive association with the carrier. You can even put a bed or blanket in or on top of it!
3) If you see your cat get in the carrier on their own - reward them! Cats respond better to positive reinforcement.

Keep in mind this will take time! Be patient!

๐Ÿพ Should You Walk Your Cat? 5 Questions to Ask First! ๐Ÿพ

Walking a cat? Yes, itโ€™s possibleโ€”but is it the right fit for your feline friend? ๐Ÿฑโœจ While most cats prefer the comforts of home, some adventurous kitties might enjoy a stroll outside. Before you grab a leash, here are 5 things to consider:

1๏ธโƒฃ Your Catโ€™s Personality โ€“ Is your kitty bold and curious or shy and nervous? Confident cats may adapt better to walks. ๐Ÿพ
2๏ธโƒฃ The Environment โ€“ Quiet, low-traffic areas are ideal. Avoid busy streets, dogs, and wildlife that could cause stress. ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ
3๏ธโƒฃ Your Commitment โ€“ Once your cat gets a taste of the outdoors, they may beg for more. Are you ready for regular outings? ๐Ÿพโฐ
4๏ธโƒฃ Your Comfort Level โ€“ Walking a cat isnโ€™t like walking a dog. Be prepared for slow exploring and unpredictable behavior! ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ˜ผ
5๏ธโƒฃ Vet Approval โ€“ Check with your vet about vaccines, flea prevention, and safety tips before heading outdoors. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿพ

โœจ Thinking of giving it a try? Start slow with a comfortable harness, practice indoors, and let your cat set the pace. Safety first! ๐Ÿพโค๏ธ
