Super proud of these two at the Barn Hunt this week!

My friend’s girl, which trained with me for 2 weeks, got a second place in her class!
My goofball Berkeley got a first in his class!
Best part: they both had a blast and enjoyed their celebration burgers!

We have had a few cases of mycotoxin poisoning recently. Its not a poisoning that folks are generally familiar with, so we thought we'd share the information to raise awareness.-

Ingestion of mouldy food from the bin or a compost pile puts dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and even wildlife at risk for toxicity due to tremorgenic mycotoxins. These toxins may be found in MOULDY bread, pasta, cheese, nuts, or other decaying matter like compost. Clinical signs include vomiting, agitation, incoordination, tremors, seizures, and elevated body temperature. A specific mycotoxin called aflatoxin can even cause liver failure. Be sure to keep mouldy food and compost out of your pets reach!

Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD) is one of the leading therapy dog organizations in the country. There are many good therapy dog organizations providing insurance to their teams, so why choose ATD?

• ATD provides a $5,000,000 liability insurance policy on each certified team who passes our certification test.
• Our testing process puts potential teams in real life situations. Our certification test is a rigorous 4-5 part test that involves a handling assessment and 3-4 in-person observations with our Tester/Observers (T/Os).
• ATD requires any new teams that are testing to complete and pass a background check through sterlingvolunteers. These background checks are good for one year.
• ATD has an active Junior Handler program. Children ages 12-17 can volunteer with their dog through ATD to complete volunteer hours for their school requirements.
