I keep putting this off, but things aren’t getting better yet, so I have to be realistic. 🥺
Of course, Callie scuffed up her leg this morning, and while awaiting this (surface level but still aggravating) cut to heal, and finalizing paperwork for her foals- she is seeking a new zip code for a heck of a deal due to impending job loss on my end and her bug allergies.
PRE Buckskin mare 15.3 HH Colemana II, is a 2014 model-
She is sound, loads, clips, ties, baths, lives barefoot and has great feet- she does need treats if you need to give her shots, but is otherwise good for the vet and farrier.
(Unless you are my old favorite repro vet who retired from large animals, she truly had a grudge against her 🫣)
She is an Excellent broodmare, catches the first time with AI, uncomplicated foaling, and wonderful mother who makes HUGE correct foals.
She sadly has developed a major allergy to Florida bug life, and with my department being totally collapsed in Jan and on the job hunt, I’ve got to move her along.
Lightly started under saddle, she’s been bitted up and worked with saddle and bridle - and that work will continue as I have time.
She’s sensitive, but very sweet, and eager to please and remembers things well, and has been really fun to start under saddle.
She is not a horse you can bully into what you want her to do however, she gets anxious and will try to leave.
Does have history of right hind inner hock degloving, which she is and has remained sound on, but the area remains difficult to totally remove proud flesh and get it too totally hair over due to location, exacerbated by her itching. 😬
Lowest on the pecking order, comes when called, and enjoys attention and pampering, and will run to you when you call for her.
Highly food motivated.
Fly sheet is current photo, and how she has to live down here in Wellington/Loxahatchee area now, could stand to add more weight, but she spends her time itching instead of eating despite multiple interventions, and her 💰 reflects that.
Other two photos are of her with one of her previous fillies, and her lovely coat when she’s not trying to itch her life away.
She will be in the high 4’s / OBO to the right home, and is currently open by my choice. Current coggins, shots, and feet done last week. Her 2024 double cream filly, ‘Pringle’, is also seeking a new zip code.
