I keep putting this off, but things aren’t getting better yet, so I have to be realistic. 🥺

Of course, Callie scuffed up her leg this morning, and while awaiting this (surface level but still aggravating) cut to heal, and finalizing paperwork for her foals- she is seeking a new zip code for a heck of a deal due to impending job loss on my end and her bug allergies.

PRE Buckskin mare 15.3 HH Colemana II, is a 2014 model-
She is sound, loads, clips, ties, baths, lives barefoot and has great feet- she does need treats if you need to give her shots, but is otherwise good for the vet and farrier.
(Unless you are my old favorite repro vet who retired from large animals, she truly had a grudge against her 🫣)

She is an Excellent broodmare, catches the first time with AI, uncomplicated foaling, and wonderful mother who makes HUGE correct foals.

She sadly has developed a major allergy to Florida bug life, and with my department being totally collapsed in Jan and on the job hunt, I’ve got to move her along.

Lightly started under saddle, she’s been bitted up and worked with saddle and bridle - and that work will continue as I have time.
She’s sensitive, but very sweet, and eager to please and remembers things well, and has been really fun to start under saddle.

She is not a horse you can bully into what you want her to do however, she gets anxious and will try to leave.

Does have history of right hind inner hock degloving, which she is and has remained sound on, but the area remains difficult to totally remove proud flesh and get it too totally hair over due to location, exacerbated by her itching. 😬

Lowest on the pecking order, comes when called, and enjoys attention and pampering, and will run to you when you call for her.
Highly food motivated.

Fly sheet is current photo, and how she has to live down here in Wellington/Loxahatchee area now, could stand to add more weight, but she spends her time itching instead of eating despite multiple interventions, and her 💰 reflects that.

Other two photos are of her with one of her previous fillies, and her lovely coat when she’s not trying to itch her life away.

She will be in the high 4’s / OBO to the right home, and is currently open by my choice. Current coggins, shots, and feet done last week. Her 2024 double cream filly, ‘Pringle’, is also seeking a new zip code.

Thelma and Louise are heading to their new forever home today.

I’m so sad for me, but happy for them.
They are sweet girls and will have a home here if ever their new mom can’t keep them.

Freckle nose here is still looking for a new home however, and will return back to the farm once weaned.

And Thelma had her baby! It’s a boy! 💙💙💙

I had ‘ordered’ a girl, but he’s big and strong and so pretty I can’t be upset.

Thelma and Louise most likely have a wonderful home lined up, but the new owners only want them.
I’ll make a decision in the next few days, but realistically, I don’t Need to keep him, so he will also be 👀 for a 🏡.

****sale pending****

Thelma and Louise, roughly 5-8 years old. (Age speculated off teeth and history of sale.)

Bonded pair of paint mini donkeys jenny’s, can Not be separated.
Both unregistered, and pregnant. 🤰

Thelma is the mostly white one, and she is also the slightly taller (approx 34 inch) and also friendlier of the two. Will halter and lead, but isn’t thrilled about it unless food is involved.

She is due ✨ any ✨day with a foal by our NLP Jack, Henry.
Excellent mother, foals unassisted with no complications, trusts people with her babies and makes very friendly foals. All have been spotted/painted as well.

Louise is the one with more darker coloring, and is smaller, (aprox 32-33 inches) and she is shy and worried unless cookies are involved.
Even with cookies, she is difficult to halter, and leads like an anvil at the best of times. Louise also foals easily and is a great mother. She gave us the most Beautiful Jenny last year that I still regret selling a little 🤣. She is confirmed pregnant via ultrasound, and looks to be due either early Dec or late Jan, but exact date is difficult as they are out with the jack 24/7.

I do not wish to sell them, but recent job loss forces me too. I love both of them, and they beg for treats and attention every night and complain if I skip out. 🤣

I am offering them as a pair, and including the (literally due any day Soon) teensy cute baby doneky for 💵4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣- however, they can’t leave until she has the baby, as I don’t want to stress her out with a move and risk her or the baby’s life.

Would also consider discussing with new owner a lesser price if she has a girl that I would retain.

In return for me keeping the girl foal from Thelma, the price would be 💵3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for both, and would include service to Henry or our new Jack depending on the new owners wish.

Looking for new pastures, Matilda and Henry-
They are bonded NLP (no light point) mini donkeys. They are not registered, and age approx 10 years old each.

We have had them for 5 years, and are only offering them now as a pair because we would like to keep some of Henry’s girls, and therefore need a new jack.

Henry is an excellent little farm jack (boy), and is attentive and protective of his little herd. He is friendly, and leads and ties. He can be caught easily and comes when called and loves to be scratched and petted. Approx 33-34 inches at the shoulder.

He’s fine with any animal (we have mini goats, mini horses, chickens, and full size horses as well as dogs and barn cats) as long as he’s introduced to them first.

He will absolutely stomp strange dogs/animals on sight. (This includes newborn baby goats, however, once introduced, he is a good protector of them.)

Matilda is a jenny (girl), and is smaller than Henry, and is also much shyer. Approx 32 inches at the shoulder.
Excellent mother, she has foaled once a year with no assistance needed and always has big healthy babies. She isn’t mean or nasty, just afraid. I use a stall to catch her, and once caught, she will lead, but can be like walking your pet rock without another human to walk behind to encourage her forward.

Can *Not* be separated, they are tightly bonded. Matilda last foaled in May 2023, and while they are in a herd setting, so I don’t have exact dates, she is pregnant (confirmed via US) and should be due again around May 2024-July 2024 with their next foal.

Asking 💵3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣.
Open to offers- sorry no trades on anything that eats 💁‍♀️ (per my husband 🫣)

While these soaps have no goat milk in them to be able to offer completely vegan soaps, our hard working girls have lots of milk in the rest of this release.

The release will go live tonight at 8 pm EST at www.cheekygoatsoap.com

Hooray! It’s the day of the Summer Release!

Sneak Peeks are still up for now on the website, I’ll take them down around 6:15/6:30 pm est to prep for the Cheeky Charm Gertie folks to have their first pass at 7:00 pm est.

From 7:00-8:00 pm EST the page will be password protected, after 8 pm it will open for everyone 🙌

I don’t have liquid soap on this release as I didn’t have a chance to make more with all the JFTS soaps I’ve been working hard on, but it will be back in the fall.

Pictured here are the Vegan Grapefruit and Mint salt bars. They smell fantastic and are the perfect hand size!

This is Patches.

She is delicate and smaller in size like her mom, she is polled, and her base coat under all that white I *think* is cou clair, or a combo, and she’s very friendly.
Her mom came from Flat Rock farm, and her sire is an Exotic son. (I’d link pedigrees here but apparently ADGA is down this second.)

I apologize for picture in the messy ground feeder - but every other time I try and take a photo she’s up in my business. 🤣

However, her small stature makes her low on the pecking order in the baby pen, and so she is looking for a new zip code in a herd that is less boisterous.

She will go with her ADGA reg application in hand, and she is fully weaned, and UTD on her vaccines.

She is 6️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

Can confirm- works every time!

You’ll have to excuse how quiet I am today and tomorrow - I’m busy cleaning my home & barn, and being mad that animals and people I love insist on living in it.

Abby and the admin team are on the move, and I’m so excited to share our home and farm with them- but I’m also going to have a little panic over it- as a treat!

I am sure some of our shenanigans will be captured on film, esp tomorrow, but for now I leave you all with these soaps and the book they were modeled after. 🥰🫶

And a photo from yesterday which was her birthday.
It’s my humble opinion that she needs a star wars name for whom ever is going to be her lucky new mom.

Yes she is 👀 for a 🏠- she is small and very friendly. I was a little worried about her legs yesterday, but it’s evident she was just a little cramped and now at over 24 hours old is doing perfect.

I know I have a few on my list who wanted a girl- please send me a msg if you are interested still. I have had cheese for a brain lately.

She will be 1️⃣5️⃣👌👌.
1/2 due now, the rest at pickup/weaning.

04/19/2024

For those of you lucky enough to get tickets to Abby Jimenez’s book signing in Miami- a question came up on attire.

It’s FL in May- it’s going to be hot. But baby goats know no boundaries and will want to nibble all over you. This means your clothes, jewelry, hair, keys, anything they can see and get their mouth on, they will try to. 🤣

They also are living creatures with zero regard for where and when they have to potty. They will potty right on you and not look back. 💅

I’ll be wearing a pair of leggings and a long sleeved sun shirt and a big floppy hat plus an apron and close toed shoes.

Hope this helps!

Excellent post from a very experienced breeder and friend.

Excellent post from a very experienced breeder and friend.

Stop letting people on those groups convince you to starve your baby goats!
The bottle baby feeding schedule strikes again. The latest version I've seen seems to have been created by someone who's rationing for survival in a harsh environment....you know, not enough food so we give them barely enough to keep them alive but certainly not thriving and growing! Therefore, it seems it would be beneficial to repost this from several years ago. Those of you who've followed my page for a while will recognize I've even updated the picture of the boys. 🙂

***I no longer have a bottle feeding schedule on my website. I choose not to confuse the issue with such nonsense.***
EDIT….This is for Dwarf kids. Double or even triple the amounts when feeding standard sized kids. Do not withhold milk from babies!

Bottle feeding schedules (including the one on my site) were made by people with one or two bottle kids and way too much time on their hands! I've decided to help you retain your sanity and give you a far more realistic view of how bottle feeding lots of kids works!
Newborns.... day one, they get fed 4 times to make sure they get 8 to 12 ounces of colostrum in them. That last bottle is fed around 8 or 9 p.m to make sure they have full bellies to sleep on. Day 2; As long as they are normal sized and healthy, they're ready for 3 feedings...7 or 8 in the morning, middle of the day when I get there and the last one before bed. I NEVER feed bottles in the middle of the night. It's stupid and exhausting and your kids will not starve! You make sure they're warm and they're absolutely fine. I keep them on 3 times a day for 3 to 4 weeks but my goal is to get them to take bigger and bigger amounts and if I can get them to take a full 16 ounce bottle per feeding, I drop them to twice a day. They also get introduced to pelleted feed at this point. They remain on twice a day feedings until I wean them at 12 to 14 weeks old. Most of the time I pull the morning bottle at 12 weeks and just let them have a bed time bottle until I'm sick of giving them milk and then I take it away. This is also how I use lambar buckets.
~By the way, mob feeding is magical! They're super annoying but competition from their siblings/pen mates makes them eat a LOT and you can move them along faster by using it to your advantage.

Exactly like this.

The one with the dark ears is a girl, and the frosted ears is a boy.
Both are retained for now, but may be available after the May Book Tour stop! 🥰

Pop rocks and Kiki both kidded today!

The Buck kid of pop rocks is , but if he gets his life together he will be looking for a 🏠, as will the doe kid.
(Begrudgingly, I Really like the udder she was developing before I left, but I gotta be better about my numbers.)

Both of Kiki’s kids are retained for now.
For the record, even bearded, Mr. Cheeky is not available either.
