Nala’s life almost ended before it ever really began.

At just 3 years old, she found herself in a high-kill shelter in Lee County, Florida. Dogs like Nala are overlooked every day. Just hoping someone sees them before it’s too late. 💔

Thankfully, she was transferred to Big Dog Ranch Rescue just in time. And now, instead of facing the unthinkable, Nala is getting her second chance. She’s 37lbs of sweetness, good with other dogs, kind with kids, and happiest when she’s cuddled up next to someone who makes her feel safe. She can be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, her heart is wide open. 🤍

And that little squint? It’s just a condition called Unilateral Microphthalmia, where one eye is smaller than the other. Her story could’ve ended far too soon. But now, she’s waiting for a new beginning. 💫

After giving birth, she was dumped and left to survive on her own, no puppies by her side, no one looking out for her, and no idea what she had done to deserve being abandoned. She wandered the streets of Palm Beach County, searching for safety. ✨️

That moment finally came when a Good Samaritan spotted her and brought her to Big Dog Ranch Rescue this past March. She’s a little shy at first, understandably so. But sit with her for just a few moments, and you’ll feel her inch closer, offering quiet trust and a longing look that says, “Please don’t leave me too.” 🐾

Tank didn’t ask for his world to change. But back in January 2024, it did. 💔

At 5 years old, this 74lb American Bulldog found himself surrendered by the only family he’d ever known. One moment he had a home, the next, he was watching it disappear in the rearview mirror. Since then, Tank has been living at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, surrounded by caring hands but still searching every day for the one heart that will choose him, just him. ✨️

Tank isn’t looking to share love. He’s been through enough to know he wants someone all to himself. No other dogs. No little kids. Just one person to throw tennis balls, splash in the water with him, and give him the undivided affection he aches for. 🤍

He’s playful and silly, especially when there’s a tennis ball around. He knows his commands and he is hoping someone is out there who sees what he has to offer. 💫

Raven didn't come all the way from North Carolina just to be waiting on a home! 🌟

Raven was surrendered, which left her feeling like she wasn't wanted. But who could say no to this gorgeous girl! At 44lbs, she still is at Big Dog Ranch Rescue with 3 of her puppies that are also waiting for homes as well. ✨️

When you first meet Raven you will see that she is a little shy, but after letting her sniff and make sure you aren't going to leave her, she opens right up. She loves toys, she loves water, and she loves being near people who she trusts. Raven and her little family have been through so much, let's make sure the next page she turns is a bright new chapter full of adventure and a furever home. 🤍

She was named after the Florida Panthers, but this Panther doesn’t chase pucks, she chases a furever home. 🐾

This beautiful mama was found in the Redlands, surviving as a stray with her puppies by her side. She had no home, no help, and no guarantee of tomorrow, but she stayed strong for her babies. 💫

Now safe at Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Panther is finally getting the chance to breathe. She’s a 55lb gentle lady who loves nothing more than spending quiet time near her cabin, trotting around the play yard, or sitting politely for a treat. 🌟

Panther gave everything she had to keep her puppies safe. Now it’s her turn to be taken care of, not just for a moment, but forever. 🤍

This bonded husky pair might have you seeing double! 🤍

Meet Jake and John, a stunning duo of brothers who made their way to Big Dog Ranch Rescue all the way from Georgia. These two are as close as can be, and yes, they are identical… almost. 💕

Trying to tell them apart? Here’s the trick: it’s all in the eyes. John (first slide!) has a brown left eye, while Jake has a brown right eye. Swipe through and you’ll notice the pattern, back and forth between these two lookalike best friends. 👀

At just 1 year and 3 months old, Jake and John are house-trained, smart, and know their basic commands. These boys do everything together… and now they’re just missing one thing: a forever family to love them both. ✨️

Lexie Bear’s story began on the streets of Miami-Dade County, where she was found all alone, except for the five lives she was protecting. A young mama with no place to call home, just trying to keep her puppies safe. One by one, her babies were adopted, each leaving with a piece of her heart. 🌟

Lexie Bear gets along with other dogs, and she loves to roll over when being pet to get her belly rubbed. At just 45lbs he is the perfect size for any first time dog owners looking for a companion. A backyard will make her the happiest girl in the world! 🐾

At 7 years old, this Chihuahua found herself alone on the streets, a stray with no one to look for her. Nico arrived at Big Dog Ranch Rescue in May and has since settled into our Senior Sanctuary, a quiet little place where older dogs can rest and recover in a homelike environment. 🏡⁠

It’s cozy and calm, filled with soft beds and sooo many blankets, but it’s still not the same as home. Nico knows that. But while Nico loves the VIP treatment, she knows it’s not quite the same as having her person. 💕⁠

Now at 2 years old, Nibbles has already experienced what it is like to be left and dumped, that is something that no dog should have to go through.

With her tan coat and striking upright ears, she’s not only beautiful, she’s a mother. Nibbles gave birth to 9 puppies under uncertain conditions. Some of her pups have found loving homes, and we hope the others will soon. But after all she’s given, it’s Nibbles who now waits for someone to choose her. 🤍

Her loves for toys landed her with the name Nibbles and Nibbles is a dog that is ready to start all over again. 🐕️
