At six years old, this handsome hound has a look all his own. He was born with an adorable little ā€œmicro eye,ā€ but it doesnā€™t slow him down one bit! He still sees the world just fine, especially when it comes to spotting cheeseburgers. šŸ”šŸ‘€ā

Ozzyā€™s journey hasnā€™t been easy. Once on the dreaded euthanasia list, his second chance came when Big Dog Ranch Rescue saved him in 2023. Since then, heā€™s proven heā€™s not just a survivor, heā€™s a total lovebug. Heā€™s house-trained, knows his commands, and loves going for car rides where he happily stares out the window taking in the view. Heā€™s also a champion cuddler who will gladly trade zoomies for snuggles and naps, especially in this hot weather.ā

At 13 years old and just hours from euthanasia, Roccoā€™s story could have ended in heartbreak, instead, it became a story of survival, love, and a forever home in Kentucky with his veteran dad, three dog siblings, and horses by his side.ā 
ā 
Rocco was abandoned in a parking lot, starving, injured, and so desperate for survival that he was drinking from a muddy puddle. ā 
Because a Good Samaritan refused to give up, Big Dog Ranch Rescue stepped in as he was just hours away from euthanasia.. With the help of our dedicated trainers, the compassion of our transport driver Robert, and the support of everyone who shared his story, Rocco was saved and given the second chance he so deeply deserved.ā

Today, that second chance has blossomed into a beautiful new chapter. Rocco has found his forever home with a veteran in Kentucky whose passion is caring for both dogs and horses. He now spends his days surrounded by love, with three new siblings, home-cooked meals, cozy cuddles, and the joy of playing in the field with his horses.ā
