🇺🇸Starting off the week with a milestone moment at Big Dog Ranch Rescue.
We officially celebrated the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Elaine & Ken Langone Patriot Pet Boarding Lodge, a building that will forever change what we’re able to do for our veterans and their dogs.

This 80-bunkroom lodge will expand our Veteran Service Dog Training Program, where rescued dogs are professionally trained and placed at no cost to veterans facing PTSD and service-related injuries.

🇺🇸The lodge will also serve as a lifeline for the dogs of deployed active-duty military personnel who have no one to care for them while they serve our country. Each year, hundreds of service members face the heartbreaking reality of surrendering their dogs before deployment. Here, their dogs will be cared for at absolutely no cost to their families until their heroes return home.

Every year, hundreds of service members are forced to surrender their dogs when deployed. This building changes that. Here, those dogs will wait safely until their heroes come home. None of this would be possible without the vision and generosity of Elaine & Ken Langone, whose support has made this life-changing project a reality. We also extend our gratitude to our Wing Sponsors, room and building sponsors, and bunkroom sponsors; each of whom helped turn this dream into something tangible.

And to our veterans, active-duty military, and the incredible dogs who stand beside them every day: you are the reason we do what we do.

Some of the sweetest love comes in small packages, like Teeny. 💖 Teeny is a 1-year-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-kill shelter and brought to Big Dog Ranch. She was in desperate need of our help, and soon after her arrival, we discovered she was pregnant and soon to be the beautiful mom of eight puppies. Thanks to the loving care of our team, all of Teeny’s babies were born safely and have since found their forever homes.⁠

Now it’s Teeny’s turn to find her special someone and be unconditionally loved for the sweet girl she is. Whether she’s dashing through the yard or taking a mid-afternoon nap, she's always ready for a treat in between. Life with Teeny is full of little moments that make every day brighter. 🐾⁠
