I know it has been a while since I last posted, I'm just here to let you all know that we are still here! We have had a lot of changes in our lives in the last just over a year and we have had a hard time with navigating some of it. Please be patient with us as we try to get into a new routine of normal for us.

I am hoping to get back to doing more with the supply side of things and to give more updates regarding all that we have going on.

For those who have still been around to support me and who have checked in on me I appreciate you all more than words can express. Thank you!

BABY UPDATE!!!

We still just have the one sweet little girl OOP... everyone else seems to be holding on to their babies tight!!! LOL

Hopefully we will get to see the other babies soon!!!

Sadly one of our new babies passed away, but this little girl is going strong!!! She is a cremeino mosaic w/ 100% leu/plat het - from TAC lines!

New BABIES! After having moved and having only had 1 baby in the last year, out sugars have finally become acclimated and comfortable enough with their new environment to have babies again! These two sweet girls came out of pouch on 10/11/24, and we have 4 more little ones that will be joining us soon!

We have some new BABIES!!!

Fresh OOP these two sweet girls came OOP on 10/11/2024! They are from one of our TAC line gliders so we are super excited to see how these two develope!!!

I have a few mealworm farm update videos/photos that I haven't had time to post just yet, however I will say we are going to have to look at some deeper drawers (which I thought might end up being the case) to do the drawer system... the ones we have are not deep enough to keep our little beetles in their place... LOL! So they have been moved back to a container, that being said these drawers will still work ok for containing worms so that will still be a nice additive.

I'm excited to say that we do have a new baby IP - this will be the first since the move so we are really excited about that I will keep you guys updated!

Our darkling beetle numbers are growing nicely! I can't wait to get this farm back on track! We still have a little ways to go, but we are definitely headed in the right direction!

We have been trying to get back to some sort of normal! Working on some much needed new cage pouches for our amazing sugars!

We have been focusing on building our mealworm farm back up! This is our current farm! Bins 1-5 all have worms in them from before we moved, I'm currently anxiously waiting for some of the worms in 1, 2, and 4 to get big enough that they won't go through my sifter so that I can get those bins freshed up. Bin 5 does not have a large # of worms at this time. Bin 6 is our first new bin in the new house! 7 we just moved the beetles out of and into bin 8. Then we have our pupae! We have been consistently getting between around 6-10 a day, so we will have a good-sized farm back up and running soon!! As you can see from the last photo, our setup now has some very time-consuming maintenance with having to move the beetles into a new bin every 2wks (is the goal), so we are going to try to get a drawer system going so that we will just have to change out the bin under the beetles every 2wks instead of having to pick all the beetles out to move them into a new bin!

I got confirmation that Dax has made it to his new home! He took right to his new person, and she sent me this photo of him hanging out with her while she was getting all his things moved over to his new cage!! ❤️ He's such a sweet boy!

"Dax's" bags are all packed and ready to go! Just waiting for transport! I am so glad he will only be on transport for a few hours ❤️

Slowly but surely working on getting out mealworm farm back to where it used to be!

Can't wait for these tiny baby worms to get big enough so I can sift and clean out these bins!! (Right now, they are so small they too will go through the sifter)

We have been working on getting "Dax's" transport accommodations ready to go to his new home soon! Sweet baby is already so loved by his new family!!
