This is Chewie and he was recently found wandering the streets of Lubbock. Turns out Chewie was adopted 8 years ago through the SPSPCA and sadly, we aren't sure of his circumstances that landed him out on the streets, he is back with the rescue. Chewie is a King Charles Spaniel mix born approximately March 24, 2016. He needs a loving home and family where he can live his best life in love, peace and comfort. Chewie is just a sweet mature older boy who loves to lounge around all day! He gets along well with other dogs. Not sure about young children. He likes going for short walks and taking life easy. He is kennel and housetrained but will use a p*e pad if needed. Because of his age, Chewie would probably do best in a home where he can relax and rest with his people. He is eating a mixture of can and dry dog food at this time while we are trying to figure out what he likes. Chewie is such a sweet soul and has such a quiet and calm demeanor and he deserves LOVE ❤️. Chewie’s adoption fee is $100 which includes his vaccinations, microchip, neuter, heartworm negative test with monthly preventative. This pretty lady is Cici! 🤍

Cici came to SPSPCA in February 2024, just a couple weeks before giving birth to her 4 perfect kittens. Now, her mama days are long behind her, and all of her kittens have found their own loving homes. She was a young mother and nervous at first, but she’s finally blossoming into her full house cat potential.

Having spent nearly her first year on the street, Cici is finally becoming the cat she never got to be in her own kitten hood. She is interested in toys, affection, and other cats. Cici loves treats, and you’re sure to befriend her with enough of them. She loves to bird watch while perched by a window sill. She is curious and likes to keep tabs on everything that happens in her foster home.

Despite moving on from motherhood, Cici loves to mentor younger cats at every opportunity. She is calm and patient with them but not afraid to teach them some manners. She takes her role as a mentor very seriously and would likely thrive in a home in which she can be a big sister.

Cici is skittish about being picked up and does not like to be chased. She is not aggressive and would simply prefer a peaceful environment. She is good with other cats of all ages. She doesn’t have any experience with dogs. She loves big kids and will seek a child out as her friend. She doesn’t have any experience with smaller kids, but she’s ready for the challenge if they’re not too rambunctious.

Hi I am Cheesecake.
I’m very sweet well-adjusted three year old little lady. I love attention and to be petted. I purr continuously. I can be easily picked up and do not run and hide. I just love to wander around and talk to all the people.
I was adopted through the SPCA when I was a kitten. My original adopter rehomed me. Somehow I ended up outside The Cheesecake Factory with a severely injured right front leg. The vet was certain my leg would have to be amputated. I was on strict cage rest for two weeks waiting for surgery. Two days before my surgery I could miraculously walk again. The vet was amazed and has never seen an injury like mine heal like this in 20 years of practice. I can walk, climb, scratch, and play on all four feet.
I am super friendly and great with kids. Cats are not my favorite though. I would be most comfortable if I can be the only cat.
I have already seen what the outdoor brings and I do not want to try that again. I need to be indoor only. I am fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $150. If you would like to meet me, please email [email protected]

This sweet heeler mix is Bluey! 🩵 She was born 5/22/2023. She is a very affectionate girl who loves giving kisses, cuddling with foster mom, and playing with her foster sisters. If you get this girl toys, make sure they’re the durable kind! 😂 Bluey was recently returned to us due to no fault of her own. She was used to being mostly outside at her old home, but since being at foster mom’s, has enjoyed spending more time indoors. Because she spent so much time outdoors, she was not house trained but she is catching on very quickly. Bluey is still technically a puppy so she is very playful and needs someone willing to provide a little training. She currently eats Blue Buffalo Food and any treats she can find! Bluey’s adoption fee is $175 which includes her vaccinations, microchip, spay, heartworm negative test with monthly preventative. She will

Hi there, I'm Bentley. I was surrendered to the rescue due to no fault of my own. At first I had a really hard time transitioning from being with my family to being in my foster home. I struggled so much that I had to start taking anxiety medication to help me be okay. I am the most cuddly and sweet guy once you get to know me and I get to feel and I get to feel and I learn to trust you. It may take a little while for me to warm up so I need someone with a lot of patience and a big patient heart to understand I am a good loving boy. I am a terrier/doodle mix boy born 8/1/2021.

I am 95% potty trained and sleep well in a kennel at night or when my foster mom is away from home. I get along well with other animals as long as I have a slow introduction. I do kind of feel like I should be boss and tell everyone what they should do.

My foster mom says, Bentley is a very sweet boy who has had a hard start to life. He does have a lot of anxiety with anything new and struggles to meet new people. He is looking for someone who possibly works from home or is home a lot, so that they can really bond with him slowly and gain trust. He is okay with cats and dogs but prefers a quiet home withOUT small children. We are looking for the right person who wants to work with him and love him as much as we do. He is super cuddly and also is learning to play frisbee and so far he really loves it! Hi there. My name is Avery and I am looking for a loving home. You see I was a stray on the mean and nasty streets of a rural town. I did survive and now I am here. SPSPCA took me in and I have a nice foster home, but I am ready to find my place in this world. I am a Chihuahua born approximately 8/1/2021. I am a small girl and weigh 6 pounds. I like to run and play. All other dogs my size don’t bother me, but I get a little scared around larger dogs. I am not sure about cats, I think I can get along with them. I have CH that affects my walking. It’s not bad, but I have a little different movement when I walk. Because of my condition, SPSPCA will take extra precaution about who gets to adopt me. I think kids are great if they respect me and do not hurt me. I am kennel trained as well. I don’t mind it and sleep in it at night, but I would like to be out of it if you are home. I could snuggle you at night too and can sleep on your bed if you let me. I make no messes and sleep all night. If you have treats, I am your best friend. I love treats and I love toys. I am not aggressive and love everyone. I love to cuddle and be by my human as much as possible. SPSPCA has had me spayed and I am up to date on my shots. So, you see, I am ready to go. My name is Andy. I’m a Chihuahua and Jack Russell-Mix born 9/1/2019. I weigh a slim 6-pounds and I am very loving. One of my favorite things is cuddling with my owner. Just sitting beside them and being loved. It’s the best. I didn’t always have that. A few weeks ago, I was alone and running around the street by myself. I was found by the good people here at SPSPCA. I now have a foster family and this second chance at life. I have learned a few things in my foster home like how to keep my kennel tidy and making friends. I do not have accidents. And don’t get me wrong, I have never been aggressive. I am shy and skittish at first. It takes a little bit for me to trust people. Fighting is not my thing. I like other dogs that are my size. Bigger dogs scare me a bit, but only until I know that they won’t hurt me. I don’t mind kids at all. In fact, I probably would be good with kids or someone that is active. I am kennel trained, but I prefer to be out as much as possible. I can sleep on a bed with you or in my kennel but I prefer with you as I make no messes. I am ready to be adopted. My name is Abby, and I am a work of art. I want everyone to look at me, but look with your eyes only. I demand lots of treats, and I love to take up space. I’m not big on getting pet, but you can call yourself my friend if you feed me.

Hello, I’m Virginia, from the “Shed Litter”.
I was born under a shed approximately 6/24/24 where we somehow survived the Lubbock July heatwave and an infestation of fleas. We put up a good fight against our foster when she tried digging us out, whew, glad she won because I feel tons better♥️
We think mom is a Basenji mix; she is beautiful.
They call me “The Quiet One”: I do play and get rowdy but I sure enjoy the down time where I get loves and held. I am so ready for my own family to run, play with and get my own attention 🥰I’m at that perfect age to learn and become someone’s best forever friend. I am young and will need love and patience as I’m taught house manners, basic commands and of course I’ll need lots of toys a chew bones. I can’t wait to meet you!

Do you get cold at night and need a good snuggle bug? Don’t let my name fool you as I am ready to be your best friend and I have done no wrong ever. I love to purr all day and alllll night long just to hear myself purr. I always love to cuddle up with another kitty companion, but you’re cool too. I can usually be found using you or another cat as a pillow when I’m not following you around trying to help in any way I can. Did I mention I’m a snuggle bug?
