Meet Linus! He came to the rescue with his mom back in February of this year. He is a terrier mix boy that is just beautiful. Linus was born approximately 10/1/2023. Previous to being in foster care, Linus had never lived in a home before. We believe that he did not have any positive human interaction until he came to the rescue. Linus needs someone who can be patient with him and allow him a lot of time to get used to your home and your routine. He needs a quiet home with other patient doggy friends to show him the ropes and help him feel safe. Linus does know that some humans are good, but he isn't very trusting of humans he doesn't know.

Linus’s adoption fee is $175 which includes his vaccinations, microchip, neuter, heartworm negative test with preventative. Linus is available for a private visit ONLY at his foster home. If you are interested in him, please email the South plains SPCA at [email protected].

Pssst… over here! I’m Lincoln from Lacy’s litter. I was born in the country 8/13/24. Arrived in a rural shelter 8/14/24 with a euthanasia date of 8/16/24. Luckily, we were saved by SPSPCA ON 8/15/24♥️🐾 I am probably a cattle dog /Great Pyrenees mix. I will be a big love bug and will need a job to do and will not be a good apartment dog. I am so ready for my own family to run and play with! To adopt me you must love puppy kisses and I enjoy cleaning your ears. I’m at that perfect age to learn and become someone’s best forever friend. I am young and will need love and patience as I’m taught house manners, basic commands and of course I’ll need lots of toys and chew bones. I am doing well on potty pad training. I eat Purina One +Plus Healthy Puppy Formula. I can’t wait to meet you!

Lincoln’s adoption fee is $175 which includes vaccinations, microchip, neuter and monthly heartworm prevention. Please email
[email protected] if you have questions about Lincoln. You can come meet him Saturday 11-2 at 8901 Highway 87 building 119

Hello Frens!
Are you looking for a sweet companion with whom to share cuddles, walks in the park, and most importantly, SNACKS?? 😊Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Larry! I was born 2/1/2012 and I’m a lab mix senior guy! I’m a wise ole little doggo with lots of life and love to give. I was lost, but now I’m found! You won’t find a dog much more easy-going than me. Wanna chill on the couch? I’m game. Wanna hang out in the backyard? Cool! I love it! Wanna go for a walk around the neighborhood? Great! I’m good on a leash! Wanna take a Sunday drive? Throw me in the backseat and take me along! I’m not scared of cars. In fact, sometimes I pretend I’m SUPERDOG and challenge cars head on, so keep an eye on me outdoors! I love naps, so if you’re busy at work, I can relax in the yard or the house. Just give me a soft spot to lay and I’ll take care of the rest! Do you hate picky eaters? Me too!! I’m not picky at all. Watch your fingers when you hand me treat—sometimes I get a little too excited for them! Need someone to guard your yard against troublemakers like noisy garbage trucks and squirrels? I’m your doggo! I will let them know who’s the Boss Dog around these parts! Mostly, I love belly scratches and will return your love with little pats and a kiss on the hand. I’m good with other dogs and every human I meet. I would love to meet you! Come see me—maybe I’m the companion you’ve been waiting for! Being a senior my special adoption fee is $100 which includes my vaccinations, microchip, neuter, heartworm negative test with monthly preventative. Please email [email protected] if you would like to meet me. I am private meeting only at this time.

Meet me, Laramie! I am a Male Shih-Tzu born approximately 1/1/2019. When I was found I had tons of mats, fleas and stickers imbedded all in my hair. I had to be shaved down and underneath all that I am the absolute sweetest, loving, and have the most cutest face and under bite. I must have been attackes by another dog or dogs because I had a huge hole in my neck that had to be treated at the vet and I was on antibiotics for a while. I love dogs, sleeping in my fosters bed and sitting in my fosters lap on the couch. I am crate and potty trained. My adoption fee is $175.00. I am up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. I will be up for adoption this Saturday from 11-2 at the SOUTH PLAINS SPCA which is located at 8907 Hwy 87, Building 119. We are right behind The All American Eatery.

Meet Lacy, a beautiful Australian Cattle dog mix. SPSPCA saved her and her day old puppies from a rural shelter the day before they were to be euthanized 💔 Lacy was born approximately Feb 13, 2023. She has been a wonderful mother to her 4 puppies and is learning how to trust humans and be inside a house.
Lacy is now potty trained. She is quiet and shy. Gets along with the foster’s big and little dogs, doesn’t really care either way about the cats. She enjoys toys, attention and sleeping in bed with her foster. We are working on house manners. Lacy obviously had it very difficult before entering our care but as she learns to trust you she will become loyal and seems to be smart (a little stubborn) but easy to train.
Lacy’s adoption fee is $175 which includes her vaccinations, microchip, spay, heartworm negative test with monthly preventative. Come meet Miss Lacy this weekend at our adoption event from 11-2 at the South plains SPCA, 8901 highway 87 building 119. You can also email [email protected] with questions.

Hi! My name is Luna and I’m approximately 2 years old. I’ve spent most of my life on my own but my foster mom took me in along with my six kittens. I’m learning how to be an indoor cat so it might take me a while to adjust to other cats in the house because I’m very protective of my babies . I am just learning to play and my foster mom describes me as loving and sweet.

Luna is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $150. For more information or to meet Luna you can come to Saturday adoptions at the South Plains SPCA Building 119, 8901 US-87 from 3-6 pm or email [email protected] to set up a private meet and greet with Luna.

Meet Liliana💖
This is a super sweet and very friendly girl who loves to be held and loved on. She also loves to be brushed and get pets. She is not crazy about dogs if they get too close to her. She really likes temptation treats and the squeeze tube treats. She is still learning table manners because she will try to swipe table food off a plate of food and she is a bread thief!! She has been known to steal bread the middle of the night and eat it so her adopter needs to keep bread out of her reach 😜

She is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is spayed. Her adoption fee is $150. For more information or to meet Liliana you can come to Saturday adoptions at the South Plains SPCA Building 119, 8901 US-87 from 3-6 pm or email [email protected] to set up a meeting.

Hello everyone! This little love is Kross 🐾😊 Kross is a sweet, beautiful Terrier mix boy born approximately 9/9/2024. Kross came to his foster 3 months ago...terrified of everything and everyone 🥺 Although we are not aware of his past history, this precious boy had to have endured something very traumatizing, judging from his sad and frightened reaction to anyone merely attempting to pet him. 💔 Kross is now blossoming into a very energetic, happy, playful and most loveable baby you will ever meet at his foster home! With time and patience Kross is great with children, other dogs and people! He loves food, treats, toys and really craves receiving lots of affection and giving doggie kisses 😘 He is now pee-pad and kennel trained but does not care to be confined to his kennel AND Kross does sleep in bed with foster mom. It is very important to understand that Kross is easily terrified at the sound of a loud noise or unfamiliar voices, so please be mindful of this 💔...Kross deserves a loving person/family that will protect his peace and well-being and will teach him that not all people are bad. Kross deserves to be spoiled and loved beyond anything he's ever known 🥹🐾❤️

Kross is eligible for the Foster to Adopt Program through the rescue. To qualify for this you must live in Lubbock County. If your application is approved, you will pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to take Kross home. He must be brought back to the rescue for all scheduled vaccinations (you will be given a schedule) and also take him to his neuter which will be scheduled by rescue. Once the pup is fully vetted we finalize the adoption and at that time you pay the remaining $100 of adoption fee. This pup is not fully vaccinated so he cannot be taken to parks, on walks, or even Petsmart until he has all his vaccines unless he is carried the entire time and not let his feet touch the ground. The foster mom has worked hard to keep Kross safe and well and the rescue trust the adoptive family to continue keeping him safe.
Please email
[email protected] to set a meeting with Kross as he is private meeting only.

Hello World meet Kit! He is a Shih Tzu. He came to us very young, weighing a little over 3 pounds. Kit was injured as a young puppy, now he is completely blind. Kit was born 9/24/24. Kit will need a family who will surround him with patience, understanding, and unconditional love. Kit’s adoptive family will preferably have experience with a blind dog.
Now that all the “serious” talk is done; Kit loves to play with toys and a standard poodle he loves, he has been surrounded by medium size dogs too. Kit is not crate trained, he hates it, a family who would be home with him the majority of the time would be great. He is not a snuggle bug, he loves to roam and play, when he is tired he just falls out anywhere in the house and sleeps. It will take Kit a while to learn his environment, he used to run into everything at his foster home, but that is rare now. He will require extensive patience with potty training, but he is a quick learner and very smart. He likes to hear his “people” at all times. Kit LOVES to eat, he is a little rolly polly. Kit eats Science Diet puppy mini bites. He LOVES treats too as he learned the sound of the treat bag and can smell them from a mile away.

Kit is eligible for the Foster to Adopt Program through the rescue. To qualify for this you must live in Lubbock County. If your application is approved, you will pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to take this pup home. He must be brought back to the rescue for all scheduled vaccinations (you will be given a schedule) and also take him to his neuter which will be scheduled by rescue. Kit is not fully vetted so cannot be taken to parks, on walks, or even Petsmart until he has all his vaccines unless carried the entire time and not letting his feet touch the ground. The foster mom has worked hard to keep this cutie safe and well and the rescue trust the adoptive family to continue keeping him safe. Please email

This handsome boy is Kody! He was born 9/1/2023 and he is a miniature pincher mix. We know his mom is a min-pin, but don't know what dad is 🤔 This big boy spent his whole first 4 mos of his life confined in a kennel with no interaction with anyone other than his little sis and little to almost no food or water. He is still very afraid of people, especially males, and loud noises and will spend a lot of his time hiding under a bed or wherever he can find a hiding place until he is comfortable 😪 He is good with other dogs but would need to be slowly introduced to people, especially children, until he gets to know them (if he doesn't know you, he tends to go into defense mode and can be snappy). It would be recommended no small children in the home. He is slowly coming around since being rescued but, still has a lot to learn, therefore he will need a family who will have patience & show him that not all people are bad, as well as what love and affection is. He is learning to use a pee-pad but still has lots to learn about all these new things that he is being introduced to 😊 He prefers to sleep on a doggy bed or under a bed. Kody is the sweetest, most beautiful soul ever ❤️ and with proper training, love and affection, this sweet boy will make a perfect addition to someone's family & home. His adoption fee is $175 which includes his vaccinations, microchip, and neuter. You can also email [email protected] with questions or to set a meeting with Kody.

Meet Kamry! She was born approximately 8/1/2022 and is a terrier mix girl who weighs about 20 lbs. She came to the rescue very pregnant and she had five beautiful babies!! They will be available soon, but Kamry is ready to move forward and find her forever family. She is a sweet and fun loving girl who loves to follow you around the house and engage in whatever you're doing. She is 95% potty trained and has not had an accident in her kennel. She is working on learning tricks and is highly food motivated. She takes just a minute to warm up to you and then she usually falls over so you can pet her belly. She prefers to sleep in bed with her person and will stay quiet at night in her kennel if needed. She would be a great addition to any home as she loves to play with other animals and is friendly with kids as well. She is the perfect size, not too big, not too small. Kamry’s adoption fee is $175 and she is up to date on all of her vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative with monthly preventative . If you are interested in meeting her, she will be at the adoption event this Saturday 11-2 at 8901 highway 87 building 119. You can also email [email protected] with questions.

Hi there! My name is Indigo. I'm a handsome 1 year old boy and still on the hunt for my forever home. I'm looking for a quiet home, with no dogs or little kids. I struggle with change and will need a special home with lots of love and patience that will give me plenty of time to adjust and settle in.

To summarize my first year, I was born outside, but my sister convinced our first foster to bring us in when we were 2-3 months old, and I’m so thankful! My sister was really outgoing and got adopted pretty fast. I’m a lot more anxious, so it’s taking me longer. But I know my home is out there!

I was very afraid of men when I first came to the rescue but I moved to my current foster home in July and have slowly over time become less scared of my foster dad. Although, I still perfer women and follow foster mom around much more. I dont like being reached for or anyone trying to pick me up, but when I am ready I will come up to you to ask for pets with my sweet little sqeaky meow.

I love to eat! I know I’m kind of a little guy, but I can put away the treats. I like crunchy treats, squeezy treats, all the treats! I also love to play and carry my toys around the house but what I really, really, love is being around calm and friendly cats! They help me feel braver and remind me that people and getting petted are ok. I would definitely do best in a home with a nice kitty friend.

Since I get so anxious, I’m only available for private meetings. I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. This is covered by my $150 adoption fee. Email [email protected] to meet me or if you have any questions for me.

Meet Hyacinth 🪻 She is very sweet to her person. She’s not fond of other cats or dogs. She would probably do well as an only pet. She doesn’t like loud noises. She gets the zoomies and will race around the room. She likes to be up high and she would definitely appreciate having a cat tree in her new home. She also likes to lay in the windowsill and get some sun. She free feeds her dry food and she gets some wet canned food twice daily. She doesn’t mind being held but not for too long.

Hyacinth is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Her her adoption fee is $150. If you would like to find out more about her and see if you could be her forever home, e-mail [email protected] to arrange a meeting.
