⦁ M&M Rescue was created in 2004.
⦁ Located on a 2 and a half acre lot in Hockley County
⦁ we house up to 40 dogs and are currently at capcity
⦁ we provide a safe home for abandoned abused and lost dogs until owner or forever home is found in addition to educating the public (both adults and children) about ways to reduce the population of stray animals.
⦁ we try to attend as many adoption events as possible but without volunteers its hard to do that all the time
⦁ all dogs are vaccinated, has there rabies shot, are or will be neutured/spayed
⦁ we focus on the attitude and personality of a dog rather than its breed. we try to keep from using labels when trying to find the perfect forever home. interaction with these dogs on a daily basis is extremely important to me. not only at feeding time but in the morning, night, lunch time and time in between. even if its just a quick hello or I love you. we strive everyday and work very hard to make sure these dogs are healthy and feel loved while they are with us.
⦁ THINGS WE NEED: toys(for bigger dogs), towels/small blankets(no stuffing please), puppy pads, dog food(any kind), flea/tick prevention(any kind), volunteers to help with keeping weeds down, cleaning kennels, All money donations can be sent directly by phone or in person to DR TAYLOR AT 82ND STREET VET for (spay/neuter, rabies, vaccinations, tick and flea prevention, heartworm testing) and also to THE SMALL ANIMAL EMERGENCY CLINIC for after hour emergencies. M&M Rescue has a donation account at both locations.
⦁ sponser a dog-choose one dog to focus on by either helping pay for that dogs vetting, visiting that dog and the rescue, helping make sure that dog has what he/she needs to be healthy, happy and feels loved
⦁ foster a dog-take one dog home overnight, for the weekend or until its forever home is found. M&M Rescue will pay for vetting costs but you will be responsible for dog food

⦁ visits to the rescue are by appointment only
⦁ ADOPTION PROCESS---------1.application 2.home visit 3.overnight stay....then forever stay HOME VISITS ARE REQUIRED ON EVERYDOG TO ENSURE YOUR HOME IS THE BEST FIT FOR THAT ONE DOG.
