🐾 We Need Your Help! 🐾

This Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Lucedale Walmart, we’ll be holding an Adoption Event—and we want to see as many tails wagging into new homes as possible! 💕

We never charge adoption fees to “make money.” Every single dollar goes right back into veterinary care—spay/neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing, microchips, and the many other costs that make each animal ready for a healthy, happy new life. Without those funds, the animals would be the ones to suffer 💔.

We wish we could give every pet away for free, but without help, we simply couldn’t continue rescuing the next ones in need.

Who would be interested in some educational videos on how to properly maintain your pet’s coat at home between grooming appointments?

Dont forget we do offer Bath and blow out appointments or Feet, face and f***y appointments. A full haircut is not required every visit🐾

Here is a few tips and tricks to maintain your pets coat at home, we love the fluffy hair cuts just as much as you🥰

This is my personal poodle — she hasn’t had a full haircut since July! I give her regular baths every couple of weeks followed by full brush-outs, and I also make it a habit to check her coat daily to ensure no matting is forming. It’s important not to wait until matting reaches the skin to address it — at that point, it can become painful and often requires shaving.

Below is a before and after example of what a proper brush-out looks like without a bath.

To keep your pet mat-free, all you really need are a few essential tools:

Slicker brush with long metal pins (like the one shown)

Metal comb

Force dryer

All of these can easily be found on Amazon.

When bathing and drying, always ensure the coat is completely dry all the way to the skin. For brushing, follow this sequence:

1. Slicker brush

2. Metal comb

3. Slicker brush again

If you come across any small knots, use your metal comb with a little detangling spray to gently work them out. (This technique is only effective for minor tangles—not mats that reach the skin.)

Brushing out mats that have formed to the skin is not only painful for your pet but also damages the coat, making future matting occur more quickly.

I hope this helps all Poodle, Doodle, and long-haired breed owners keep their pets comfortable and mat-free between grooming appointments! 🐾😊

Dear Clients,

We kindly ask that if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please notify us as soon as possible. Lately, we’ve had an increase in last-minute cancellations, no-shows, and instances where multiple pets were booked but not all were brought in. Unfortunately, this prevents other clients—who call earlier in the week—from being able to schedule an appointment.

To help manage our schedule more effectively, we have started keeping a card on file for all clients. This ensures our groomers—who are commission-based—don’t lose income from appointments that are missed or canceled with less than 24-hour notice.

We completely understand that unexpected situations arise, and this policy is not meant to affect our reliable clients. It simply helps us ensure fairness and consistency for everyone.

Anyone know of a Jimmie Edwards that used to live on Polktown rd.? We have been trying to find him since Aug of 2023. He brought his red heeler to be boarded at my facility in June of 2023. Said he sold his house and needed a place for his dog to stay until he found somewhere else. He paid $400 up front with a big bag of food for her, he then came back with more food almost a month later and paid another $400. Both times he came he had who i believe was his wife or girlfriend. When she started running low on food again a month after the second payment we tried to get in contact with him and his phone had been disconnected and we never heard from him again. After some time went by and we realized he wasn't coming back one of my workers took her home to live with her. The total stay after his payments equaled to about $1400. I went to court over it and they settled in my favor but nothing ever got done since he couldnt be located. The whole situation was sad because this dog loved that man, you could tell how she started to realize she was never leaving. She started getting aggressive and destructive. If anyone knows him or his current address please let me know. His dog is in a loving home but I dont care what situation you are going through, to do that to someone and abandon your dog is so cruel and I dont believe someone should just get away with that.
