So we had a crazy severe thunderstorm here two nights ago. 80-92mph winds, hail, constant lightning- you name it. Trees snapped off and fell on our power lines and some of our fences. Power and internet were knocked out. When I went to check on the dogs, Cocoa had delivered two puppies!! We wound up with six sweet babies ❤️

Daisy is adjusting to motherhood very well! Taking good care of her little ones.

When we went to pick her up from the vet, they gave them to us separately and said they had not introduced Daisy to her babies yet. I had never considered this! I was a little nervous because she didn’t go through the usual process of delivering and cleaning them, the mommies are typically VERY attentive. She sniffed them, not very interested. She was ready to get back to her usual doggy business 😆 So we had to lay her down to let them nurse. After letting them nurse, the switch seemed to go off (probably hormone release) and she began licking and nuzzling them ❤️

Daisy dog had to go in for a C-section, first time I’ve ever had a Boston not handle birth completely on her own! Please say a prayer for her successful surgery, quick healing and healthy babies 🙏🏼

Update: Daisy is out of surgery and doing well. We have two healthy babies, a boy 🩵 and a girl 🩷 a little one that was stuck in her birth canal did not make it but so thankful we found the vet who was willing to skip their lunch break to take care of them!

Pinky’s (fka Marshmellow) mom may be just a little obsessed with her! She has her very own bedroom with her pictures on the wall 💕 We are so thankful for all of our wonderful pet parents through the years and the updates when we get them!
