One of the most interesting things about raising chickens in a tractor on pasture is how they impact and benefit the ecosystem. The tractor is moved every day and a barren patch of dirt is left behind, picked clean of vegetation and insects, glazed with chicken p**p and feathers, but in only a couple days time, the vegetation springs back up, with more health and vigor, thanks to the fertilizer the chickens leave behind.
The grass grows back denser than before, choking out the firew**d and pig w**d, which is a welcome bonus to the pasture.

Spring is such a busy time on the homestead. Outside of the normal daily chores, we're in a race to get the new chicken coop finished, expand the pig pasture and get the garden planted. Idle hands are the devil's playground they say, good thing there isn't a lack of things to do here!
