This is our first batch of apple butter. Made with Pioneer Sugar from Michigan Sugar Company. We will make more when the Jamdude starts picking more apples. It’s really good!🍒
With Michigan Sugar Company – I just got recognized as one of their rising fans! 🎉 Of course that is the only sugar we use here at The Jam Farm!🍒
I’ll have Bumble done today and next up is blueberry bliss. I usually take Sunday off but I don’t want to disappoint our guests. See you soon! 🍒
Our selection includes chocolate-covered cherry and strawberry margarita. Hot off the stove! Please specify your desired quantity in your response and I will reserve accordingly. Thank you, Lois🍒

OK fans, who thinks they know what I’m making today? It should be ready by Thursday. Lois🍒
It is Red Onion Marmalade, made with red onions, dried cranberries, orange zest, cider vinegar and some brown sugar among other things. Great on toast, roast beef, cream cheese and more.

Lincoln has more duties than just being a greeter, he is very capable. He loves watching the birds that come to the feeders, but today he saw a chipmunk. He does not like Mr Chipmunk. He is a miniature schnauzer! Mice and rodents are supposed to be very afraid of Lincoln! This one would have stuck his tongue out but his cheeks were so full of sunflower seeds he was unable to totally humiliate Lincoln! Till next time Mr Chipmunk, next time! 🍒🐾
We are working on our next batch of Strawberries from Ron Alvesteffer’s Farm. So excited to get these beautiful strawberries. So with help from everyone we got 24 flats done. Only 26 more to go. We need enough for the Strawberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Strawberry Margarita, Strawberry Peach and Bumbleberry (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries). Come by for samples! Lois🍒
We are starting with 12 flats of strawberries today. But we ordered 50. It’s. Good thing I’m wearing gloves or my hands would be entirely red!🍒
The Ludington Sourdough is yummy. I tried a loaf and one of Trail's End Baking Company’s chocolate croissants. I keep coming back! Lois🍒
To all of those who are gone from us and all of those whom are still fighting, we salute you. Lois🍒
These are the hours of the Ludington Farmers Market! There are so many wonderful vendors there. One of my favorites is The Vintage Tub LLC soaps & more. Yes, we sell her soap in The Jam Farm, but if you’re downtown please check it out! Lois🍒
We're just a week away. Ludington Farmers Market starts next Friday ( May 24th ) from 2-7, Legacy Plaza - at Ludington & James, under the pavillion.
The Jamdude is busy picking rhubarb today. We sell it to several places so their customers will get the freshest rhubarb you’ve ever tasted! We use it in our Rhubarb Jam, Strawberry Rhubarb Jam and Cherry Rhubarb Jam. Shop local. Lois🍒

Just a reminder the Badger is ready to go earlier than expected! It’s a wonderful ride.🍒
The S.S. Badger: Lake Michigan Carferry 2024 schedule will soon be underway with crossings starting earlier than expected. Departures will begin on May 17 rather than June 14 as previously stated.
The maiden cruise follows months of structural repairs and improvement to the ramping system at the Ludington home port. Last summer, an integral component of the ramping system failed, causing an abrupt end to the Badger’s 70th season.
The Badger’s first sailing on May 17 signals the start of the summer season, and her daily crossings offer riders a unique and memorable four-hour journey across the 60-mile shortcut passage on Lake Michigan. Experience breathtaking Lake Michigan views and the many amenities onboard the ship.

Here they are again. Two senior citizens that have no business doing what they are doing. But who am I to rain on their parade? They won’t listen anyway! Lois🍒 #thejamfarm
Really wanted to show you all the steps to make grape jelly. I should have mentioned that we wait till there is a nice solid frost before they are picked so they have lots of natural sugar and we don’t have to add much. We have approximately 200 or more feet of grapes so they have to be trimmed back in the summer and taken care of during the winter so we get a good amount. Anyway the grape juice is calling my name so I gotta go. Thanks for watching. Lois🍒 #thejamfarm
Lincoln, the Jamdog is having so much fun with this snow. He uses his muzzle like a snow plow. For a dog who doesn’t like rain he sure doesn’t. mind getting totally soaked with snow. Just want you to know he misses visiting with all of you.
Just a quick look at some of the things we have for sale at The Jam Farm. Please call us at anytime since it rings at my house also and I can take an order. Thanks so very much! Lois🍒 #thejamfarm
For those of you who know Lincoln our Jamdog here he is with his first real “taste of Michigan”. He really liked it but I learned two things. That dogs get ice balls on the fur on their legs and that a wire whisk will get rid of them without hurting. I’ll be making Christmas through next weekend. Then we will have to see how long I can keep the shop open without the pipes freezing. You can always call me on the shop phone (it rings at the house too) if you need anything. (231)845-9909. I always have time to fill an order. Thanks, Lois #lincoln #jamdog #jamfarm
This is a fantastic recipe. I use blueberries from the Couturier Blueberry Farm, cause they are the best. You can put them in this recipe frozen. It makes two loaves. I always use parchment paper in my baking because nothing sticks! Pretty great huh? You should try this with a little bit of blueberry lemonade jam. Yum! Any questions you know I’m always here.
