"Little" is a very unique prospect that came from the Sperry program. He's a big horse in a shapey little horse package with a gritty "let's do this" attitude. Little is cowy, quick, and can really stop. I've ridden him on the ranch extensively and have started him in the breakaway and heeling. He's been hauled to a few jackpots, where he handled everything with ease. He's a tough horse...can go all day or take a lot of heeling runs without getting hot. The longer he's around, the more I like him.

I'm throwing around the idea of doing a few one day "camps" this spring.

I've had quite a few people ask about how to keep young horses soft and riding correct when they come home from the c**t starter and then transition to barrels or roping training. Have also had interest in learning how to keep performance horses tuned and listening in order to prevent or fix problems and habits that occur.

Wondering how much interest there would be for these type of group lessons and when they would best fit into everyone's schedules? Any thoughts or additional topics welcome. Thanks.

Last night was the maiden voyage for The Mandalorian.

Here's a nice 5 yr old by Whoze Your Daddy that I'm getting ready for the roping futurities this summer and fall. I lightly started him on slow calves last spring before he went home. He's been back to work now for about 30 days. This was his first ever trip to town and he handled it like a pro, placing 3rd on 3 head.

We're home from the Black Hills Stock Show Horse Sale. Thank you to the owners of these three outstanding prospects that I was able to ride and represent in Rapid City.

-Fabulous Miss Perry (pictured below), consigned by Gary Johnson and Alan Ham, brought a bid of $25,000 and is headed to Idaho.
-Guyz Cash Keeper, consigned by Ryan and Keri Casteel, brought $22,000 and is headed to a new trainer in Montana for his Tennessee based owner.
-A Scenic Feel, consigned by Erin Zoucha, brought a final bid of $19,000 and will now reside in North Dakota.

-Pay The Dreamer was not able to make the sale due to a minor cosmetic injury. He is still for sale. Contact me for more info.
