A juvenile male raccoon was brought to me this morning. The kids have named him Rocket. He has an injury to his right eye from a dog. Since coming to me, he has had a sponge bath, been given a mixture of fruit, veggies, nuts, and dry kibble, water, and received lots of hugs. I am in search of a wildlife rehabilitator who can take this little guy in. I am willing to continue caring for the little man until then. He is loved, happy, and other than his eye injury, seems to be healthy. 🩶🦝🚀

Puppy Update!!!

Everyone, I'm happy to introduce you to Princess Zena, whom I and my friend/neighbor are sharing custody of. This little bundle of joy just "fell out of the sky" and "into our laps", and has just been the best girl. Well, most of the time lol. Still working on the unwanted puppy habits of potty training and chewing. She already knows to "Sit" and we are working on a couple more commands, "Easy", "Come", and "Stay". After today's events, I'll be introducing her to "Leave It". But I'm happy that she is such a quick learner and really just wants to please both of her mommies. She adores all of her human and fur siblings between both families combined. For a baby girl who has been through more than we know, she sure does have a whole lot of love to give!!

Medical update:

She was on a round of antibiotics and responded well to them to help regulate her bowels. She has also begun gaining weight, so we can no longer see her rib cage or her hip bones as definitively as before. Next week she will have a follow-up with her vet, get her puppy shots, and be microchipped. Baby girl, Princess Zena, will never have to suffer again!! 🥰🐕‍🦺

I am pleased to announce that despite no one searching the neighborhood all day looking for the puppy, no one claiming it on any of the local animal pages, and having a long introduction period with the current family dog, the puppy has been taken into a loving home!! I also get to puppysit again tomorrow. 🥰😍

Do you recognize me? I am not microchipped. I was found this morning on Lakeview Drive in Hinesville. I was never at the Liberty County Humane Society, nor the Liberty County or Long County Animal Controls.

What a lovely, yet busy, day. I caught Elizabeth, Daisy, & Caesar sleeping on the job in the “new” office this morning, Riley was ferocious when it came to her belly rubs lol (not seriously) and loved sun bathing instead of going for a walk, The Pitts crew enjoyed the beautiful weather, and Tippi REALLLY wanted to play ball. Too bad storms are headed this way. We were all absolutely loving the beautiful weather today. Our office is in the process of “relocating” but as the sign says, we’re still open! We’re so happy to be entering our 5th year of serving Long County and the surrounding areas! We would also like to ask for your prayers for our Elizabeth. She has some health concerns that we are working with her medical staff to treat. We know there is power in prayer and in numbers, and we are believing for a full recovery. She does have to have a surgery, which I will keep you updated on as time goes on. Thank you so much for the love, prayers, and support, we greatly appreciate them!! 💙🐾

I just had to share this moment with all of you. I recently kept these two, R***r-smiling & Jolene, who are my neighbor’s dogs to the direct right of us. R***r is the one who runs my dogs along the fence every single day and keeps them in great physical shape. They have been practicing their escaping skills lately and every time they get out, they come see me. Lol. They have barked at my front door wanting to come in and have even jumped up in my car wanting to take rides with me. This time I was able to snap some pictures, and boy was I happy that I did. I love R***r’s smile and how happy they are when they come see me. I think I’ve officially been adopted…again. 🥰

Pet Sitting is in full swing!! I’ve been busy and totally forgot to take pictures of my recent pet sitters and boarders, so enjoy a picture of our sleepy Harley. I’m sure you’ve thought about stocking up on extra water, non-perishables, flashlights, batteries, etc. for you and your family, but are your pets stocked up too? Not only do you need food and water should the power go out, but so do your animals. Do any of them take medicine? If so, are you stocked up? Do you have toys and treats to preoccupy them when they get scared during the storm? This system may only bring us heavy rainfall and gusty winds, but please prepare your pets as well as your family! They aren’t receiving these warnings like we are and will have no clue what to expect when the storms hit. Stay safe out there everyone!

*We are NOT intaking any boarders during this storm, as my family is dealing with the Flu, and we don’t want to pass it along. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I am sad to announce that this will be my last year open for business. I haven’t trained a single dog the entire year, so no point in keeping it going. 😭 Thank you to everyone who supported me this far. I appreciate you dearly.

I’ve heard of many different types of animals being Emotional Support pets, but an alligator is a new one to me. Very interesting. I’d love to meet Wally, as I too have had/currently have loving relationships with unexpected reptiles. I guess you can never underestimate the power of love.

Bystanders had an up-close and personal encounter with Wally the alligator — an emotional support animal — in Philadelphia's Love Park.

Please please PLEASE!!! Think before you act!! No fur baby deserves to be abandoned by the only family they know just to then be euthanized for the sole reason that the facilify is over capacity.

Want to brag on my pups, Caesar & Daisy. She has made leeps and bounds with her public service work. She has mastered laying down at my feet when I stop while shopping. Caesar has been such a trooper confronting his anxiety of vehicle rides to assist Daisy in her public training I’m proud to call them mine. 🥰🐕‍🦺🦮💙🐾
