Salvation Animal Rescue
Salvation Animal Rescue was formed in September of 2016 by a group of ladies who were passionate about animal welfare. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strives to reduce the number of stray animals in our community. We also aim to reduce the number of animals put to sleep by providing low-cost spay/neuter vouchers monthly through our S.N.I.P.S. program which began in March of 2018. These vouchers are sold for $25.00 to anyone in Angelina County regardless of income. We also provide bi-yearly vaccinations and microchipping clinics for the community. We hope to educate the public about the need to foster and rehabilitate dogs rescued from shelters so that they have a chance to live a joyful life in a safe and loving home. It is through community support and donations that we can continue to accomplish our mission and grow this organization. We are proud to say that at the end of 2019 that we were able to expand our community outreach programs with the addition of our Doug’s Hugs Food Pantry. We have paired up with Meal’s on Wheels and other programs that service low-income Senior citizens or others that need assistance with helping to feed their beloved companions.
