i’ve been avoiding raisins_roundup for a little bit. it hurts me to say that Raisin has passed away. she died peacefully in a little nest. i am grateful she passed simply because her heart stopped beating. she was 8.5 years old! she lived through so much - 2 bear attacks, dogs, foxes, minks, and way too many illnesses to even count. she got to know our vet very very well. i believe she had a great life. she was loved by so many humans, chicken friends, and the doggies of course. everyone knows she was such a witchy woman - always with a lot to say. she went from giving us double yolkers to the cutest fairy eggs. she laid on her terms and never ceased to remind me that i was working for her not the other way around. she taught me so much about myself and about life in general. i was 18 when i went to our local agway and randomly picked up the last two chicks they had. zero clue about chicken keeping!! Raisin!!! look what you got me into! i love you so so much. i hope you are with Yukon where ever you are 🖤 here’s to your roundup forever!!
