To all our wonderful clients,
We regret to inform you that after 21 years of enjoying your pets and you as wonderful clients, Riverside Boarding & Grooming has decided to close permanently, effective December 31, 2023. If you are planning on boarding for Christmas and/or through the New Year Holiday, please make sure to get those dates in. We will try to accommodate those holiday reservations.
In making this difficult decision, Brad & Sharon have decided to move forward with their retirement plans, part of this plan was selling Riverside Boarding & Grooming. At this point, there has not been a suitable buyer that would keep the business running as it is currently, with boarding, grooming, and renting space to Riverside Rescue.
So, with this said, Riverside Rescue will be purchasing the buildings. In doing this, the Rescue will be remodeling the current building to allow for more cat and dog adoptions, surrenders and a safe place for those area animals in need. Part of the plan is also to build a new building that will hold a Low-Cost Pet Wellness Clinic for basic pet veterinary care, increased spay and neuter programs, and a self-serve dog wash. The new building will also have an area that local trainers can utilize to help the communities with obedience, socializing, agility, and other pet training opportunities.
We completely understand how this change may come as a surprise and will be inconvenient for our clients and will affect others in the local pet business. Please know that this decision has not been made lightly and, while we are grateful to have been meeting pet owners’ needs for the past 21 years, it is time for some changes.
Riverside Rescue will continue their mission as being a safe location for temporarily displaced pets, as well as expanding to meet the growing need for a low-cost wellness clinic within the community.
There are other area pet businesses, while we hope that most of them will be accommodating to you, please understand that not all may have the staff or space. Please just do your research, pre plan and do what is right for you and your pet.
We do hope that you can continue to support Riverside Rescue by growing with us as we make these big changes moving forward into 2024!
