🐱🐾Cat of the Month - Dory is a sweet cat that came from a hording situation that was abandoned with approximately 35 other cats!

Dory shows no aggression towards other cats and loves to be petted. She is a humble, sweet, little creature. She is litter box trained and up to date on her shots.

Rainbow is a beautiful tortie female cat. She is a very pleasant cat who gets along well with other cats. She came into foster care because the people who had her did not feed her and so her kittens did not live due to her lack of food. She is very calm and sits back and observes. She lives with other cats who are older. She is litter box trained and is up to date on her shots. We pet her and she likes it but we do not pick her up.

Mitch is a small, sweet male cat who likes to be petted but is very timid. He came from the hoarding situation that several of our fosters came from. When Wise County Humane Society (WCHS) was told of these cats' sad situation we have tried really hard to help them. We have taken several of them out of the terrible living conditions which they were left in. Their owner left them in a residence in deplorable condition. None of the cats have had any vet care. Some have eye problems. Some will not let you touch them. Mitch is timid but he does seem to like it when you pet him. He is litter box trained. Really likes wet cat food but eats dry cat food well. He deserves attention and the care all animals should have.

Apache is one of the sweetest cats that has come to us to foster. He came from a hoarding situation and was one of about 35 cats that were abandoned in a filthy single wide trailer in a very rural area. His owner moved away leaving a couple days of dry food for the cats to eat. When the cats had been without food for a week the owner ask a friend to go feed the cats. The living conditions in the trailer were so bad that the friend could not go into the trailer. Our rescue partner was told of the cat’s situation, checked on the cats and have been helping feed the cats and have removed about 25 of them. The remaining cats will be removed when a foster can take them. Apache immediately was friendly and loves to be petted. He will grab hold of your shirt to get attention. He has the loudest purr. The other cats and he share a room and get along great. He is litter box trained. Apache has a congenital deformity of the right eye. He has no problem with his left eye. When he went to be neutered it was noted on his record that his eye is a congenital deformity.

Dory is a pretty, sweet, tortie female cat 9 years old. She came from a hoarding situation. Her owner moved away leaving about 35 cats in a single wide trailer. He left some food for the cats, but the cats were not fed for a week. After being told of the poor cats situation Wise County Humane Society, with the help of a couple of kind people also aware of the situation, stepped in to help the cats. The trailer was filthy with trash everywhere inside the trailer. No animal or human should have to live in the condition the trailer is in. Animal f***s was everywhere also. Dory shows no aggression towards other cats. She loves to be petted. She is a humble, sweet, little creature. She is litter box trained and up to date on her shots. My name is Addie, I'm very shy and not comfortable in the shelter. I am a very beautiful girl with cross eyes, but after all I am a Siamese mix. I would like to leave the shelter and go to a quiet home, where I can peacefully lay in the sun. If you have a home like that, please consider me.

A gentle giant! Brewster is an incredibly sweet guy who sadly has lost the only owner he has ever known. Brewster was adopted four tears ago as a kitten by an elderly lady who passed away recently and he is struggling to adapt to this dramatic change in the only life that he ever knew. At only 4 years young he has plenty of time to be your next furry family member. Brewster was an indoor only cat who lived in a quiet household with just his owner. Ella is a beautiful kitten who appears to have some of the characteristics of a Norwegian Forest cat. At 12 weeks old she is nearly 4 pounds! She has the most impressive ear tufts, paw tufts, and a bushy tail. She is super sweet and snuggly. Be prepared to absolutely fall in love with this girl! Ella is bonded to Stella and they must be adopted together. *In foster, she is brushed regularly and seems to enjoy it. This will need to continue when adopted to prevent uncomfortable mats from forming.
